Familie

Edit
Sandrine André was originally cast in the role of Liesbeth Pauwels. Few weeks later she was asked to replace the suddenly departed Anne Somers as Véronique Van den Bossche. The role of Liesbeth went to Hilde De Baerdemaeker.
During his 2002-2004 stay on the series, Mout Uyttersprot repeatedly teamed up with lead actor Gunther Levi to pull pranks on the crew. As their childish behavior kept leading to shooting delays, the producers eventually decided to fire Uyttersprot. His character Bert stayed absent from the show for 2.5 years and was then reprized by Steven De Lelie.
Many young actresses auditioned for the role of Stefanie Coppens. In the end the unknown Jasmijn Van Hoof defeated the more experienced Moora Vander Veken, Helle Vanderheyden and Joelle-Chloe Edelman.
Karel Deruwe, who played the popular character of Guido Van den Bossche, often had fights with the producers regarding the soap's development. This eventually led to his definitive departure in 1999.
Ronny Waterschoot, who played the soap's most notorious villain Didier De Kunst, asked the producers to get rid of his character, because he thought it had become too unrealistic for Didier escape justice time after time.
