I'm grateful for Marisa's (Maahra Hill) positive attitude toward Rose (Karen David) in The Irrational. Marisa and Alec (Jesse L Martin) have a complicated relationship history. Their marriage ended a long time ago for reasons related to Alec's ongoing trauma from having survived a church bombing. Still, the pair care deeply for one another, and working closely together could easily lead to a reconciliation. Now, however, Alec has moved on with Rose, while Marisa is focused on her job after losing her previous boyfriend to a killer in season 1.

Alec's medical emergency in The Irrational season 2, episode 8, "Lost Souls" forces Marisa and Rose to work together to rescue a tennis star who disappeared while hiking. “William Anthony Basso Jr. was a sculptor, painter, and special effects makeup artist. He was born on December 8, 1962, in Manalapan, and attended Christian Brothers Academy for high school and Parsons School of Design for college,” his obituary reads.

On Tuesday, the night before his birthday, Jada shared a never-before-seen poem he wrote, titled "Lost Soulz." "I don't think this one has ever been published. . . . I don't think he would have minded that I shared this with you guys," Jada said in an Instagram video. She then read the poem aloud, adding that she believes the poem was the "original concept" for Tupac's song "Lost Souls." WaterTower Music will release the full 17-track soundtrack for the New Line thriller, starring Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, on May 7.

The Super Friends' Phantom problem grew so far out of control on Supergirl Season 6 Episode 4 that they needed to focus all of their efforts on stopping it. And a betrayal in the Phantom Zone lead to Kara destroying her only way home.

The hour was mostly filler, which is a bit disappointing for a final season. However, it was still more intriguing than past episodes as it had great action and well-crafted character moments.

Plus, it was the first time Lex Luthor wasn't featured, which is always a win in my book.

The Phantom Zone really hasn't been paid its dues on Supergirl Season 6, until "Lost Souls."

The season's story, so far, has mostly taken place in National City with the Super Friends trying to save Kara from their end.

In an early bout with phantoms, a seemingly defeated phantom coming from lying on the ground to standing up in one smooth movement was a particularly cool genre moment for the usually-light Supergirl. Back in 2000, Steven Spielberg’s trusty Dp made an ignominious helming debut with “Lost Souls,” an incoherent occult horror that wasn’t even the tasty kind of trash. Soon after season 3 of FX’s Fargo ended, Noah Hawley made it sound like the Emmy-winning series was done and over at the Atx festival. Those were comments that he quickly walked back, and here we are with a Chris Rock-starring season 4 set to air on Sept. 27 across 11 episodes.

And as far as season 5 goes, Hawley told us at FX’s press day today, “I’m certainly not ruling it out.”

“It’s not just one idea you need, it’s a hundred ideas and characters,” added the creator, but providing no teaser on what’s next, “so that tends to percolate.”

Also, in regard to what’s next for Hawley, his answer is the same as it was at TCA earlier this year: “I have a novel, I’m trying to finish, it’s not my goal to race back into production.”

U.K. rock trio Doves will return from their decade-long hiatus on September 11th with a new album titled The Universal Want, the band’s first LP since 2009’s Kingdoms of Rust.

Doves’ Jimi Goodwin and brothers Andy and Jez Williams shared “Prisoners” from their upcoming album on Thursday. “It’s about continually chasing something and not being satisfied when you eventually get it. You’ve got ‘that thing’ and you find you’re not any happier. Be careful what you wish for,” Andy Williams said of “Prisoners” in a statement.

Exclusive: Issa López (Tigers Are Not Afraid) is set to write the script and is attached to direct an adaptation of the Matthew Baker short story Lost Souls, which Searchlight and Noah Hawley optioned last year.

The film is set in a world in which some babies are born without souls. A young expectant mother is sent to an unusual wellness center in the desert, with the hopes that it will improve her chances of delivering a healthy baby. It is one of several short stories written by Baker that turned into big movie deals. Hawley and his 26 Keys is turning Baker’s short story Why Visit America into an FX pilot Baker is writing and Hawley is exec producing. Hawley is producing two others based on Baker stories.

López won Best Director in the Horror Category at Fantastic Fest 2017 for her film Tigers Are Not Afraid, which was released by AMC Shudder.

Horror fans are definitely going to want to take a look at this list. AMC’s FearFest is right around the corner now and features plenty of heart-racing movies for viewers to sink their teeth into as Halloween nears. Going on its 23rd straight year, the channel’s annual spooky marathon promises to scare the you-know-what out of anyone brave enough to watch the 19 consecutive days of bone-chilling programming.

This year boasts 104 eerie flicks, including well-known classics and some under-the-radar gems. FearFest is set to begin on Sunday, October 13th at 10:00am Et, though AMC wants everyone to know that “horror fans don’t even have to wait that long, as you’ll also be able to watch even more movies on amc.com and the AMC Apps for mobile and devices all month long.”

Exclusive: Noah Hawley’s 26 Keys has set a new feature and a TV pilot with Matthew Baker, the author who has set Hollywood on fire with short stories that have sparked major bidding battles over the past year.

They will team for Lost Souls, a feature they’ve just set at Fox Searchlight, and Why Visit America, an FX pilot they’ll develop with Baker writing it, marking the first time he’s done that. Hawley will exec produce. Both of these are based on Baker short stories, making this the fourth Baker short story that Hawley has made a deal to produce.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan, star of AMC’s series “The Walking Dead,” and Connie Nielsen have signed on for the Janusz Kaminski-directed thriller “The Postcard Killings.”

The two will co-star in the film adapted from James Patterson and Liza Marklund’s bestseller. The film follows a New York detective (Morgan) whose life is thrown into turmoil when he learns that his daughter and son-in-law have been brutally murdered in London. As he digs into the case, similar crimes are reported across Europe with each killing accompanied by a postcard sent to a local journalist.
