I had the pleasure of catching this film while aboard an Alitalia flight when flying home from Italy. It's got a great central cast and the situations are genuinely funny. Not overly done and the slapstick is kept to a bare minimum. Really, it reminded me of a 30s screwball comedy in many ways - with the humor coming from the characterizations and how each character reacts within the situations they've created for themselves. It all works like clockwork - but also has some interesting things to say about the choices we make in our lives - and maybe making decisions that decide our futures too soon.
I'm surprised this movie hasn't been released on DVD - it's probably got roughly the same appeal as a film such as "Pane e Tulipani" - and is certainly better than many of the films coming out of Italy (and many other countries) that are released on DVD.

I am writing this note, because I found the title of this film 4 years after seeing this movie.
I saw this film when it opened in cinemas in Italy in 1999. As usual on a boring Friday night with friends drinks and nothing much to do.
Carlo Viti a very ardent fan of European films, suggested this film and Sala Reposi in Torino played host.
The movie a well made piece of Italian film, and symbolizes the average Italian and his films and his needs very brilliantly.
A very nice comedy especially Paulo and Luca. The switching between 2 wives and the pains of 2 families and finally when the 2 wives get to know each other ... the hilarious italian way of showing life on a screen is very evident.
In all, this is a film for you to watch if you like Italy, Italians, they unique culture and everything Italian !!!!!!
Go ahead and have a good Friday night with friends.
