The anime was premiered in the Philippines on April 14 1997 under the title "Mga Munting Pangarap Ni Romeo". It was shown on ABS-CBN and its subsidiaries including YEY! Channel and it became one of the widely recognized anime in the country.
In the Filipino dub, Romeo is voiced by Louie Paraboles. The voice actor also lent the voice of Tom Sawyer from the 1980 anime adaptation of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and Damulag (Gian) and Suneo from Doraemon.
