Film as Art

It's been a while since i've seen such an artistic film, full of symbolism, humanity and mythology.

The surreal beginning sets up the viewer for what comes. If you are someone who loves symbolism and likes to think for yourself, rather than be spoon-fed by Hollywood style films, then this film is for you.

Reminds me of Fellini and Bergman films.

Cheers to Date Wine.

What happens when the palm trees leave their home?

This movie ranks high among great movies of all times, selecting a small village in the far south of Egypt, Radwan El-Kashef speaks his message to humanity. Mastering his tools, this director plays on the chords of your heart and the strings of your mind.

A forgotten original

It's such an interesting movie, complicated and a bit intense, you may need to read about it first before watching.

The entire movie is very raw, ethnic and authentic. The sound track is simple but I don't know where they got it from, it's kind of magical but sad.

The movie scenes are taking theater-play theme like sometimes for unknown reason.
