Trivia

Tapasya

Edit
Gayatri who played a supporting role as Raakhee's sister in Tapasya went on to become a popular heroine in Kannada movies during the early 80s. In 1987, she got married to Anant Nag, the popular romantic hero of Kannada films, with whom she had costarred in six or seven films. The couple stay happily married thirty years later.
Tapasya and Kabhi Kabhie were the first two films Raakhee signed after her marriage to Gulzar in 1973. Both were silver jubilee hits. She separated from Gulzar and pursued a glorious career as a top heroine in the 1970s and early 1980s. Then she transformed to being the top most supporting artiste and screen mother until the mid 1990's.
Rajshri productions later made the film as Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi 2008 staring Sonu Sood and Esha Koppikar.
The producer Seth Tarachand Barjataya had liked Rajkumar Kohli"s Kahani Hum Sab Ki . Then he made Tapasya which was inspired by Kahani Hum Sab Ki in which Mala Sinha"s role was portrayed by Rakhee in Tapasya.
When Tarachand Bharjatya saw Hum Sub Ek Hain, he was impressed very much by the film and wrote letter to Rajkumar Kohli to congrutale him. As the film didn't do t well, and Tarachand Bharjatya liked Hum Sub Ek Hai, he made Tapaaya with some changes.
