The NBC Mystery Movie

FAQ

No, but you're kind of close. It ran during the 1971-72 season but was on CBS on Sunday nights, while The NBC Mystery Movie ran on Wednesday nights on NBC. When NBC moved its show to Sunday nights in the fall of 1972 Cade's Country was gone. However, it was up against another NBC "wheel" or "umbrella" program called The Bold Ones, which rotated four different shows. (In the late 60's and early 70's NBC and Universal really went in for those shows, which in addition to the two already mentioned, included another one called Four-In-One (which was the origin of McCloud and Night Gallery), and the sadly forgotten The Name Of The Game.)
