The evil Japanese are at it again - this time it's papers

This is another movie given the honor of many titles to fill the shelves of VHS rental stores back in the day. The Big Risk or Kung Fu Conspiracy or When Tough Guys Meet features Nick Cheung Lik, Queenie Kong Hoh-Yan, Tong Tin-Hei and Dean Shek. Lee Wan-Chung also appears in the most ridiculous racist impersonation of a Japanese man since Mickey Rooney in Breakfast at Tiffany's. All it took was a Hitler style moustache, stern face, and straight back. The loose excuse for a plot involves papers - everyone is acting like spies and trying to get the papers. The action is plentiful except for some slow motion pieces that only serve to show the kick never even came close. Outside of that and a stupid car and motorcycle chase I'd say the action is slightly above average. When the hero and the bald bad guy square off against each other on the boat I thought it was the final fight but there was more. Dean Shek still had a part in a double cross to play. As usual this copy was an Ocean Shores VHS to digital file and it was dubbed in English. The copy was reasonably good but with Ocean Shores I start by expecting the worst. Only for fans of the genre I'd rate it a generous slightly above average six out of ten.
