Sony’s 3000 Pictures label is reportedly putting together a new Single White Female film – Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell will star.
While the title might get an update, 1992’s Single White Female is reportedly getting the remake treatment at Sony’s 3000 Pictures Label. According to The InSneider, the psychological thriller has been plucked from the vaults and is being redeveloped as a project for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice's Jenna Ortega and Bones And All's Taylor Russell.
The original film hails from 1992, one of Hollywood’s greatest decades for thrillers. Directed by Barbet Schroeder, the film starred Bridget Fonda as a New York software designer who puts out an ad for a female roommate. After accepting a young woman played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, things start to go sideways when her new acquaintance begins to exhibit some rather disturbing behaviour.
The film was a commercial success at the time, earning $84.1 million from a $16 million budget.

Going into game four, Neilesh Vinjamuri from Lionville, Pennsylvania, led with two wins, Adriana Harmeyer from West Lafayette, Indiana, has one, and Isaac Hirsch from Burbank, California, still had no wins under his belt. However, his luck changed as he scored his first win on Wednesday’s (February 12) episode. However, some fans didn’t think the customer support team lead should have won Final Jeopardy! because his handwriting made his answer look like a completely different word. Throughout the entire game, Hirsch had a wide lead over his other two competitors. He had $7,000 at the end of the first round, compared to Harmeyer’s $2,800 and Vinjamuri’s $4,200. Have you ever wondered what the most money a contestant could win in a single game of Jeopardy! is? Well, so have many others, and one particular fan has done the math to figure out the exact number. On the Jeopardy! Reddit forum, one user calculated that the most money a person could win on a single day of Jeopardy! is $566,400, though, as they pointed out, achieving this feat would be “impossible.” The user worked it out by assuming the contestant “gets every clue correct,” the “Daily Doubles are the smallest dollar amounts for that round,” the contestant “selects the Daily Doubles last” and “wagers their entire amount,” and then “they win Final Jeopardy, also wagering their entire amount. ” Taking this into account, the hypothetical contestant would end the Jeopardy round with $35,600 and the Double Jeopardy round with $283,200. If the contestant then wagered that entire amount on the Final Jeopardy clue and got it correct,...

Jeopardy! fan favorite Isaac Hirsch made things hard for himself on Wednesday’s (February 5) Tournament of Champions semifinals after some risky wagers almost cost him a spot in the finals. Hirsch, a customer support team lead from Burbank, California, won fans over during his five-game winning streak last July for his snazzy dress sense and impressive trivia knowledge. On Wednesday, he returned to the Alex Trebek Stage to take on fellow Season 41 champions Amy Hummel, an ER doctor from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mark Fitzpatrick, a content manager from Riverside, Connecticut. Things got off to a bumpy start for Hirsch when he went all-in on the first Daily Double of the night. He answered it wrong, leading to a $3,200 deficit and allowing his opponents to jump ahead. However, he quickly made up for it by answering 14 correct clues by the end of the first round, giving him a solid lead with $5,000 heading into Double Jeopardy.

Rishabh Wuppalapati was looking to close out a week with no shortage of drama (from hellish handwriting to woeful wagers) as a four-day Jeopardy! champ. But he was decisively outplayed on Friday, October 18 by an opponent whose first big challenge, as she shared on social media, was just getting into the studio. The 19-year-old sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania from Vernon Hills, Illinois entered with a three-day total of $52,802. He faced Kelly Gates, a librarian from Medford, Massachusetts, and Kyle Compton-Troesch, a civil engineer from Cincinnati, Ohio. In the Jeopardy! round, Wuppalapati came out swinging, nabbing the Daily Double immediately for a wide lead of $5,800 by the commercial break. After the break, his opponents crept up and he narrowly led with $6,400, while Gates, who shared that her team of librarians once beat four-day champ Maureen O’Neil at a trivia conference (“never come back”), had $4,000, and Compton-Troesch $3,800. Jeopardy! contestants have to go through a process before they get to compete on the show. One recent contestant, Zoe Grobman, shared her experience on social media. She even revealed she was in for a surprise when she met other possible contestants in the “green room.”
One Player Wagered Everything In The End
Zoe Grobman competed with returning two-day winner Eamonn Campbell and University of Pennsylvania undergrad student Rishabh Wuppalapati. By the end of the first round, Campbell was in the lead with $6,600. Wuppalapati was in second with $3,400, while Grobman had $600.
However, Grobman would end up taking second as the game went into the Final Jeopardy. The “Presidential Nomination Acceptance Speeches” category shared the following clue: “He talked of a “new Attorney General” 4 times, the end of a ‘long dark night for America’ & ‘a gentle Quaker mother.’” The correct response was “Who is Richard Nixon?”

Spencer Treat Clark's acting career got off to a promising start at the turn of the millennium when the 12-year-old, coming off of appearances in "Arlington Road" and "Double Jeopardy," booked roles in what wound up being two of 2000's biggest hits: Ridley Scott's "Gladiator" and M. Night Shyamalan's "Unbreakable." Three years later, he landed the part of Silent Ray in Clint Eastwood's "Mystic River," at which point it felt like we might be watching Clark grow into one of the top actors of his generation.
While Clark has worked steadily since then, he seems to be settling into more of a character actor groove –- which is a great place to be! But you have to wonder how the now 37-year-old performer feels when he happens across a trailer for "Gladiator II" and sees Paul Mescal mixing it up in the Coliseum as Lucius Verus,...

Ryan Manton came into his third Jeopardy! game with a pair of back-to-back runaway victories under his belt, but third time was not a charm during Wednesday’s (October 2) episode. Instead, the two-time champion found himself in deep trouble all game long until another player made a costly mistake. And, finally, Manton had to try his hand at Final Jeopardy to stay in it. Manton, a systems administrator from Ohio, faced off with Erin Ward, a software developer from Ontario, Canada, and Scott Tcheng, an ER doctor from San Francisco. The first round was relatively competitive. Though Manton, despite his apparent aversion to Daily Doubles, found the first one on the very first buzz-in and got it correct, he could only wager and win $1,000. By the end of the first round, Manton was tied with Tcheng for $5,800, while Ward was right on their tails with $3,600. In Double Jeopardy, though, the...

Some Jeopardy! contestants might not win the game, but can still win the hearts of fans in the end. One recent contestant didn’t make it through the episode’s Final Jeopardy! question. However, fans are already asking for them to get a second chance.
It All Came Down To Shakespeare & A Certain King Of Scotland
The September 25th episode saw three contestants: Drew Goins, David Erb, and Diane Lochner. Throughout the episode, fans noticed Goins and Erb, who was playing his third consecutive game, in particular went head-to-head with each other.
By the end of the first round, Goins had the lead. However, a Daily Double helped Erb double his score, putting him on top. By Double Jeopardy!, however, Goins got close to Erb, reaching $16,800 and $22,000, respectively. In the end, Final Jeopardy! would decide the winner.

It’s still quite early in the new season of Jeopardy!, but have we already got one of the top choices for second-chance play? Some fans seem to think so after watching Tuesday (September 17) night’s play. The episode featured returning champion Aiden Orzech facing off against newcomers Will Yancey, a history lecturer from Texas, and Alisa Kindsfater, an English teacher from Arkansas. Things got off to an amazing start for Yancey in the first round, as he answered nine questions correctly, including a True Daily Double, and went into the first break with a lead. Things only got better for him for the rest of the first round, as he got another seven correct and extended his lead to a whopping $12,000 over the returning champ’s $2,600 and Kindsfater’s $400. Things changed in Double Jeopardy, however. Whereas Yancey got just five right (and both he and Kindsfater missed their Daily...

Is Jeopardy! pulling a fast one with some unstated new answer expectations? Some fans seem to think so after Friday’s (July 12) episode. The episode saw Isaac Hirsch face a new set of competitors — chemistry professor Mike Ferguson and attorney Ashley Weaver — and notch his eighth consecutive victory with $34,001 added to his winnings for an 8-day total of $195,389. A point of controversy arose during the episode’s Double Jeopardy round regarding the “First Ladies” category. In response to Weaver being deemed wrong for not including Ida McKinley’s first name in an answer, one fan wrote on Reddit, “Ok, so apparently now they’re requiring first names for First Ladies?” The commenter then referenced a previous complaint about the same issue, which included pointing out several instances where the same category did not require the use of the first name, including a game in 2022 and another in 2018. Isaac Hirsch continued his winning streak on Tuesday night’s (July 9) episode of Jeopardy! but not without a little drama. Hirsch competed against chemistry professor Kathy Davis and stay-at-home mom Anna Paone for his fifth game and found himself in a bit of hot water at the start of the first round: Davis was a far better buzzer than him at first. During Double Jeopardy, Hirsch had a staggering number of incorrect answers become correct after reconsideration. In all, there were three of his answers that producers eventually accepted, adding a whopping $4,000 to his winnings and putting him at $19,400 to Paone’s $9,800 and Davis’ $3,800 ahead of Final Jeopardy. Survivor alum Drew Basile is applying that show’s “outwit, outplay, outlast” philosophy to Jeopardy!
