Mobile Suit Gundam film 3

Netflix is dropping 18 movies and series this week
Image
For some sad reason, Netflix has chosen to delete more shows than normal in the third week of the month. While 18 series or movies leaving the streaming isn't nearly as bad as the end of any given month, it's still a lot.

Perhaps the biggest loss of the week is that the first eight seasons of Dexter are leaving. There have been two sequels to the series, Dexter: New Blood and Dexter: Original Sin, but neither of those is available on Netflix either.

The first three seasons of The Equalizer are going away, too. The Queen Latifah-led series has five seasons total, but there will be no more. The show was canceled after its fifth season, and the finale aired on May 4, 2025.

Netflix Farewells 4 of the Best Gundam Anime Movies After 4 Years
Image
The original Mobile Suit Gundam is still one of the most iconic mecha anime of all time, and this initial entry was later retold across a trilogy of movies. Easily the most accessible way to rematch the original story, these movies and one other are sadly about to depart their current streaming destination.

The classic Gundam anime movie trilogy has been streaming on Netflix for years now, and the same goes for the legendary Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. Unfortunately, their four-year tenure on the streaming platform will end in less than a month, with the first half of June being the last chance for fans to watch them. Thankfully, several other entries in the mecha anime property will still be on Netflix.

The First Four Gundam Anime Movies Are Leaving Netflix Next Month

Ever since June 2021, fans have been able to watch the first four anime movies in the Gundam franchise on Netflix.

Film Review: Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space (1982) by Yoshiyuki Tomino
Image
Roughly corresponding to the episodes 31-43 of the first Gundam TV series, “Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space” is among the most dramatic parts of the story, in another epic space film.

Gundam III is screening October 23&27, as past of Ax Cinema Nights

Continuing exactly from where the second movie finished, White Base launched off from Jaburo having changed the tide of the war on Earth, and now head towards space. The Earth Federation is starting to take new type humanoids more seriously, considering the successes White Base had, but eventually decide to use them as a decoy, in order for the Zeon Forces to go after them. In the meantime, the feud between Amuro and Char continues, despite the fact that the former seems to hold an advantage due to his Gundam. In the meantime, the presence of the New Types continues to complicate things, while a number...
