Out of all the Straw Hat Pirates, the one crew member whom I have loved and admired since the beginning is Roronoa Zoro. Zoro is the swordsman of the crew and the second strongest member of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece. He dreams of becoming the strongest swordsman in the One Piece world and is getting close to his dream with each episode.
One Piece fans might not know this, but Zoro’s character is voiced by legendary Japanese voice actor Kazuya Nakai, who has voiced many prominent roles within the anime industry. In fact, he is one of the few voice actors who has been a part of the One Piece franchise since the beginning, as he has voiced Zoro from episode 2 of the anime.
However, what shocked me even more was the fact that Nakai’s voice acting talent is not limited to anime. He has...

Tubi has become a dark horse giant in terms of anime streaming, with several classic anime shows and movies available on the free platform. This is now set to include two cinematic gems by the legendary Satoshi Kon.
Satoshi Kon is known for his influence on and creation of multiple iconic anime works, with two of his best now headed to Tubi. Among these is an acclaimed and somewhat experimental movie that's synonymous with the themes seen in much of his work. Heading to Tubi in just a few days, these round out a growing catalog of must-watch and even exclusive anime available to stream.

In the broad pantheon of mecha anime, there's no series that's greater than Mobile Suit Gundam, which has been going strong for 40 years at this point. Pioneering the "Real Robot" subgenre, this franchise is synonymous with mecha with the many Gunpla plastic model kits being some of the most profitable anime collectibles around. Still, there's stiff competition from other properties, including one rival that might finally sing the right note.
The iconic anime series Macross came after Gundam, and it's intimately tied to various other franchises. Now that the brand has been brought to streaming around the world, fans will catch up with it through one streaming service. This could create a stronger chance of it overcoming the more established Gundam, with both properties on the path to seeing their biggest successes ever.

Many anime in the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise have found streaming homes in the past several years, including some of the biggest entries in the property to date. Now, an underrated and overlooked show from the 1990s is finally receiving similar treatment.
After War Gundam X was the penultimate Gundam anime of the 1990s, and it was one of many "alternate universe" shows set outside the original Universal Century timeline. Somewhat forgotten compared to other shows from the same era, the series has never previously been available to stream for fans internationally. Now, it joins an unexpected streaming home as the first Gundam series available to watch there.

Despite being set in its own world, Gundam X failed to capture the same success as other Gundam series due to slow pacing and lackluster designs. Set in A.W. 15, the series follows Garrod Ran as he navigates the aftermath of a devastating war and battles for hope and survival. Gundam X, part of the After War timeline, diverged from the Universal Century timeline but still showcased familiar themes like the existence of Newtypes.
The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise is mostly defined by the "Universal Century" timeline, which began with the property's original anime. Since 1979, the majority of shows have been tied to that continuity in some way, though there are also several others which are in alternate universes. The 1990s saw several alternate timeline Gundam anime released, though one of them was far from successful.
