Honestly, this episode of Elsbeth should have been called “The Mama Bear Mittens Are Coming Off.” There was no holding back on this culturally infused installment from everyone’s favorite Chicago attorney.

For one thing, how adorable was Henry, the tour guide? I don’t know who that actor is, but he is popping up more and more in different shows and movies.

However, the award for the most over-the-top acting on Elsbeth goes to Alyssa Milano. Was her character a little too much? Check the fingernails. But what the actor did with the role was epic.

Actress Shannen Doherty, who appeared in numerous films and TV shows like Heathers, Mallrats, Beverly Hills 90201 and Charmed, was notably absent from the Academy Awards’ In Memoriam tribute at the March 2 ceremony. Doherty died in July 2024 at the age of 53. She had been living with breast cancer since 2015.

Per TMZ, Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor on the teen drama 90210 from 1990 to 2000, voiced her opinion on the Oscars’ omission of Doherty from the In Memoriam segment. When asked about Doherty being missing from the tribute, Garth said, “Yeah, that’s messed up.”

When Garth was asked whether the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should issue an apology for excluding Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh on 90210 from 1990 to 1994, she said “Maybe.”

The 2025 Oscars ignited controversy for leaving out actors such as Michelle Trachtenberg, Tony Todd and Olivia Hussey. “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Shannen Doherty was also omitted, which her co-star Jennie Garth called “messed up” when asked by TMZ to give her thoughts on the snub (via People). Garth added that “maybe” the Academy should apologize to Doherty’s family for the exclusion.

Garth and Doherty became teen icons together as stars of “Beverly Hills, 90210.” They were both series regulars for four seasons. Doherty exited the series before Season 5. Garth continued for all 10 seasons. They later reunited as their characters, Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh, for appearances on The CW’s “90210” reboot.

Doherty died in July 2024 after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. In June 2023, she said she had been receiving radiation for cancer that had spread to her brain. She became a popular podcast host in the years...

Meanwhile, the 118 will need to attend a call at an animal shelter. When a fire breaks out, it’s a race to get all the animals to safety.

It's time for Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) to enter the Big Apple's world of organized crime. Elsbeth Season 2 picks up this Thursday with a new episode, titled "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant," which sees the titular defense attorney/investigator touring some of New York's famous crime scenes when one particular mafia slaying at a family eatery piques her interest. At the scene, she meets a fiery former mafia princess played by Charmed's Phoebe Halliwell herself, Alyssa Milano, with suspicions surrounding her that leave Elsbeth wanting to ask more questions. Collider can exclusively share a sneak peek at the episode showing her meeting with the suspect, once again with Detective Buzz Fleming (Daniel Oreskes) by her side as she begins tugging at the threads of this case.

During the awards show on Sunday night (March 2), the late Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed actress was noticeably not included in the In Memoriam segment.

If you were unaware, Shannen died on July 14, 2024 following a long battle with breast cancer. She was 53-years-old.

Morgan Freeman introduced a special remembrance for two-time Oscar winner Gene Hackman, who was found dead alongside his wife, Betsy Arakawa, last Wednesday. Of course, more details have spilled out since, and we may have gotten ahead of ourselves a bit when we thought the titular slayer would be front and center in the sequel series.

However, reports have since surfaced that while Sarah will be involved in some capacity, she may not be a series regular.

That alone leads us to believe the new series will have a different name. You can’t call it Buffy without the heroine at the show’s heart.

In any case, Sarah wants the world to know that the project is real and that she has many reservations about returning to the franchise.

Hopefully, everyone will forgive me for being so late to the game, but I am finally joining the Fire Country bandwagon, and it is amazing. The series may be in the middle of its third season, but I am playing catch-up.

After only five episodes, it’s very clear why this show is such a hit with fans. The staple of a good series is that it pulls you in right away, and I barely needed five minutes before I was hooked.

The first thing that has to be said is that Fire Country is a many-layered show that explores almost every avenue a procedural can go down.

I can't believe it's been a little over a year since Netflix announced the sad news that Shadow and Bone had been cancelled. The streamer shared the update back in November 2023. Since then, many of us fans have still been thinking about the fantasy series.

Read first joined Days of Our Lives in 2014, playing the drug lord Clyde Weston. The character served as Ben Rogers’ estranged father and Jordan Ridgeway’s stepfather.

When popular shows are canceled despite millions of people watching them, that’s a problem.

Blue Bloods is probably the best-known example of this. The series was canceled ahead of its 14th season despite being a top-rated show that often won the hard-to-get-viewers Friday night timeslot.

Charmed is a timeless show about a family of witches with legendary powers. It's also a great time capsule for '90s fashion that captures the idea of "whimsigoth," like long skirts, velvets, lace, and celestial motifs. Charmed went on for many seasons, covering such a long magical family saga that it touches on many classic witchy fantasy tropes.

Episode specials, like the Halloween features, are great to re-watch around October as they capture the essence of fall. Some episodes also pay homage to myths, fairytales, and other popular fantasy series and movies from the '80s and '90s. Other episodes feature great musical artists of the day.

Actress Kaley Cuoco recently opened up about the passing of her dog Shirley. In a recent post on social media, she revealed that she had to place Shirley in another home. Through the post, she also revealed a few details about Shirley’s death and final years.

Cuoco first came to prominence as Bridget Hennessy on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules. However, for many, her breakout role would be playing Penny on The Big Bang Theory. Some of the actress’ other notable roles include the witch Billie Jenkins on Charmed and voicing the title role in the animated Harley Quinn series.

This past Sunday, the actress opened up about a recent loss. Cuoco’s dog, Shirley, had recently died of cancer.

As she shared in an Instagram Reel, Cuoco discussed how Shirley had to leave her home shortly before her death.

Y&r has welcomed award-nominated costume designer Mandi Line to its crew. Line is best known for her work on Pretty Little Liars. She’s also responsible for dressing the casts of Death and Other Details, Shameless, and The Bold Type. Her work will be unveiled on the Monday, November 18th episode.

Line graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (Fidm). Shortly after, she started her costume design career on independent movies, music videos, and red-carpet events. Line’s impressive Hollywood clientele includes Kirsten Dunst and Mandy Moore.

For much of cinematic history, famous action roles were synonymous with male characters, especially on major television networks. There were, of course, female-led productions, but the closest audiences got to a female action star was Annie Oakley in 1956. The '70s offered more of a renaissance for powerful women in action roles, with shows like Wonder Woman and Charlie's Angels being huge hits of the time. But, the truth is, it took a while for women-fronted projects to become more commonplace.

The 1990s were a turning point for this genre when the world was introduced to Xena, the Charmed ones, and Buffy Summers. They were all capable female characters who were not only strong but also complex and well-rounded individuals, fully able to carry a hit TV show. Since then, viewers have tuned in time and time again, keen to see their favorite spies, assassins, and protectors doing what they do best in high-octane adventures.

Best known for her design work on such shows as “Pretty Little Liars,” “Death and Other Details” and “The Bold Type,” the Costume Designer’s Guild Award and Caftcad (Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design) award-nominated Mandi Line is heading to “The Young and the Restless” as the show’s new costume designer.

Viewers can look expect to see what Line has in store for the people of Genoa City beginning with the Monday, November 18 episode of the CBS daytime drama series.

Schapker has a great deal of experience in the science fiction genre, which she brings to the upcoming Dune prequel series, Dune Prophecy, as its showrunner. She has written and produced for some of the most iconic science fiction shows, including Fringe, Almost Human, Westworld, and Altered Carbon (for which Schapker also served as showrunner). Now as the executive producer of Dune: Prophecy, Schapker continues to take the genre by storm. She has also worked on television series outside of this genre, including Alias, Brothers & Sisters, Lost, The Flash, Scandal, and Charmed.

Prolific actor Tony Todd, especially popular with horror fans for his roles in the genre, passed away on Nov. 6 at his Los Angeles Home. Per Deadline, Todd's death was confirmed by his reps, but the cause of death is not yet known. He was 69 years old.

Todd was born on Dec. 4, 1954. After studying theater at the Eugene O'Neil National Actors Theatre Institute, he began appearing in movies and TV shows by the mid-1980s. One of his very first roles was in Oliver Stone's acclaimed 1986 war film Platoon alongside Charlie Sheen, Johnny Depp, and Willem Dafoe. The film won Best Picture at the Academy Awards, among other Oscars, helping to further launch Todd's career.

Charmed's first episode aired in 1998 on WB, and while the series followed three witch sisters with powers trying to keep the world safe, their more human problems brought all the magic to viewers. Now 26 years after the show's premiere, Charmed still boasts a cult following.

Some moments in the show are predictable, but how it matures and changes over the seasons adds to its reliability even two decades later. Although Charmed ended in 2006, its popularity hasn't stopped growing. Dawsons Creek fans will only have to wait until November 15, 2024, to stream the 26-year-old series that put the CW on the map. Tubi will begin streaming the series, which ran for six seasons, from 1998 to 2003, for free on that date.

Taking place in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts, Dawsons Creek, starred James Van Der Beek as Dawson Leery, Katie Holmes as his best friend, Joey Potter, Joshua Jackson as Pacey Witter, and Michelle Williams as Jen Lindley. WBs original Charmed series aired from 1998 to 2006, following three sisters who discover they are witches and are tasked with keeping the world safe from evil. The show was so successful it garnered a cult following throughout its eight seasons. With the reboot trend the past few years, Charmed fans were happy to be drawn back to the world of demons and magic when it was announced that a new Charmed series was to be released in 2018 on the CW.

While the reboot wanted to be unique and find its footing, it had several similarities to the original Charmed series which worked well, like the focus on three strong-willed and independent young women trying to navigate adulthood and their sibling relationships while fighting for good.

However, the differences between the two shows affected the reboot by alienating the original fans who wanted, at the very least, for there to be a connection to the original series.
