It is a thriller movie. A little bit of romance to give a background to the protagonist. He has his personal life and he has his needs that any human has. (He being a hero, some sacrifices of personal needs are expected from him). The protagonist is an honest young man who works in an important government-laboratory that involves some government secrets.
The thrill begins when a high level officer of the lab is murdered. Investigations inevitably follow. Even the investigations hold the element of surprise for the audience. The protagonist is clean.
Then follows the thrill of the planning. How the villeins undertake to execute their high profile villainous deed. They are sophisticated. Well organized. A huge organization. Their plan is also thrilling. That is, to fool the organization of the Indian government in a really surprising way. (Not a spoiler). It is to send a look-alike of the protagonist in his place and do the harmful activities. So they first kidnap the protagonist. The doppelganger is given a lot of information about the protagonist so that no one would identify him. But, no amount of information can be complete. So, inevitably he runs into trouble. But somehow he manages to save the situation for himself. But some government officers have some doubts regarding his identity. So some investigation follow. But surprisingly even the investigations are managed by the villainous organization! The look-alike is not the only implant in the lab! In a thrilling sequence, the protagonist uses his ingenuity to escape and reach the lab. The villains are about to execute their plan when, at the last thrilling moment, he foils their plan.
Their are some good songs in the movie.
The acting of all actors is good and dialogues are simple, not over-dramatic.
The locations are serene and peaceful.
In many movies such themes are used, so even if it might have been interesting in the 1970s, today it seems dull. Only the good acting saves the film.

The first James Bond movie came in 1962 and with "Dr. No" and "Goldfinger" Hindi Movies too saw this new genre filled with action, adventure, suspense , and thrills. Well, such films won't linger much in your mind except you would get glued till the film lasts. Same applies with this film in which Dharmendra plays a scientist who gets double crossed by his dangerous look alike who tends to blow his laboratory. Though the film is indeed a copy of 60s James Bond movie, the film is quite entertaining as the film doesn't get Indianised much and stays with its theme. The protagonists and villains don't leave that impact through their acting, but they are still OK. But a special mention should go to David as a CBI officer. Overall, it's fairly welcome film; which though not a classic and won't remain much with you, still entertains as long as it lasts.

Good film starring Dharmendra as the scientist on a secret mission, and lots of international twists and turns which are rare for films of 1969... The action and suspense keeps heightening , the hallmarks of Brij the director who went onto make thrillers like Victoria 203 etc later on.. Sharmila Tagore wears trendy dresses and makes a good heroine.. Murders, kidnaps and impostors and a satisfying climax .. There are some hummable numbers from Mohd Rafi and Lata and shot in exotic locations..You get to see Mozambique , in 1970s and a nice cabaret number by the ever so dependable Helen and some bely dancer to boot! what more do you need on a lazy evening?
