Kamen Rider series is one of Japan most beloved and oldest superheroes series usually focus on one guy wearing a body suit much like a grasshopper fighting force of evil on a kick-ass motorbike.Although it not blow up in Western like the Super Sentai series but there are many fan all over the world and to celebrate 20th birthday of the series Shin Kamen Rider came out as a stand alone movie with a much more realistic and darker tone.Being called the worst Kamen Rider ever by many fan i find myself very intriguing with the movie despite some big changes like the gruesome transformation scene and the gory action.The plot is hard to follow sometime while the characters is good looking their acting is so wooden but if you love Kamen Rider in general definitely give this movie a try

While Shin, having a genetic story setting, terrifying appearence and disturbing transform unlike most Kamen Rider(whose look glamorous and attractive to public audience)that will upset the general viewers, he is in fact, the most satisfying Rider to the man who started the whole franchise, Shotaro Ishinomori.

Under the pen of his, most of his heroes are tragic social outcast that have unique strengths and power, decided to use that power to fight againist the villain who rob their life.

Shin in the film match the requirements of Ishinomori hero: a tragic man who become a monster, but still decided to turn against to the Foundation who intend to use him as weapon.

If a work cannot truly shown the ideal of the original creator and got disapprove, it will never be a good one in my book, or at least, fans who knew it.

Becoming a cult film among others Rider works are not a bad fates, Shin will always remains as one of the best take of the Hopper Mutant who keep his humanity in my heart.
