Classic iCONIC gold

Rupert was a great show back in the day. I use to watch it in the early mornings before school.

It's about a Polsr Bear and friends going on magical or misadventure. Rupert was like a detective/tour guide.

It was a laid back show with laid back characters. ITs a great show for children. Iunno if today's children could handle mellow and adventure shows like Rupert. Rupert doesn't have annoying like sponge bob or toilet humour like current children shows.

Theme song was good. When I hear it I feel sad. I Dunno why.

Overall a nice adventure show about a polar bear in the woods.

What can be learned? Enjoy your adventure.

Verdict: Rupert was a chilled out bear.

Rupert's the best!

It's more adventurous than Winnie the pooh or Little bear. Even now in my teens I still enjoy this show and I'm not ashamed to admit it. It's very cute and quite creative. The characters are thoughtful and amazing, and the plot is never predictable. My favourite character would have to be Rupert, obviously. He's the best bear in fiction!!

Entertainment Rights recently bought Rupert and they are making new episodes, plus they gave Rupert a makeover (his fur is tanned and his face looks a little more different. But he gets to keep his scarf, etc. except the boots. He got new shoes).

I hope we get to watch soon because I totally love this cartoon. Can't wait :) Hope it's as good or better than the original.

Always have loved this series...

I watched many animated series as a child, and Rupert was one of them. Rupert also happened to be one of my favourites too for many reasons: - I loved how simple yet pleasant the animation style was. It all looks very clean and smooth, with convincing looking characters and lovely backgrounds, it's almost like looking at the pictures of a picture book.

  • Like the animation, the music was simple, and never over-shadowed the dialogue and such. The intro is charming with an interesting style to the theme tune and gives you a very good impression of the sort of series you're about to watch, which is cute, charming entertainment really.

  • The dialogue has its humorous spots, with the odd touching spot. And when I learnt something watching it, as a child and as a 19 year old adolescent revisiting it, it was never done in a patronising way.

  • The story lines have plenty of charm to them. They move quickly, have a lot of cuteness about them and are also are quite creative.

  • All the characters are engaging, especially Rupert. Bill Badger is a very nice contrast as well.

  • Excellent voice acting across the board.

In conclusion, a great series and one I've always loved. 10/10 Bethany Cox

Top of its class

Unlike so many other cartoons of this era, the characters don't constant run around with ditzy Stepford Wife glee or the constantly creepy positive attitude you see in charismatic cults. This was a tremendous relief, as a child. These characters express a reasonable and rationally motivated range of emotions and complexity of interactions commensurate with the real world. This cartoon is rich havarti to all its garbage Kraft singles peers. It's the grey poupon to all their horrendous acid yellow fast food mustard packets. Just a little more substance, reality, thought and class. The characters are well developed, the plots are relevant to kids and basically probably everyone, the art is lavish and lovely. This was your first class upgrade when your family paid for basic cable, I guess. Meanwhile, the trailer park kids got stuck with Franklin and Dragon Tales. Talk about class warfare. Nickelodeon had TinTin, too, and briefly - before it was cancelled for that atrocious Papa Beaver - it had edgy anime Grimm's Fairy Tales. This was part of that shining consortium that once made childhood television great, long ago.

Weridest Show Since He-Man

If you never heard of this show join the club.It was on Qubo but like most shows it was taken off.In the show the main character Rupert Bear goes on many adventures from finding the Loch Ness Monster to having hedges of grass turn into real things.Trust me if you haven't seen this show you haven't missed much. Most of the show was boring since nothing really happened that was that exciting.Well I can't really say you should watch it since it doesn't come on TV anymore. But if your lucky to find it you shouldn't watch it.But this is my opinion and if do like it that's OK.Well if I could suggest a better show that was on Qubo I would suggest Postman Pat,a show about a postman who helps the small town with day to day problems.
