And Then I Got Off The Bus - Aaahhh!

The best work so far of comedy duo Lee & Herring, these two live series, both originally broadcast Sunday lunchtimes, are just brilliant! Continuing with their running gags & catchphrases you see the usual familiar faces, such as the actor Kevin Eldon, appearing as a number of characters. And because it is live often things don't go quite to plan!

Sketches & features include Histor's Eye, The Organ Gang, When Insects Attack, The Unusual Priest, Sunday Heroes, The Curious Orange, When Things Get Knocked Over Spill Or Fall Out Of Cupboards, Lazy Comedy Slags, There'll Always Be Milk, Nostradamus, Trevor & Nathalie, King (or Queen) Of The Show and, of course, Simon Quinlank to name just a few.

Why oh why didn't the BBC give them another series?

    Best comedy on TV

This show is by far one of the most satirical and funniest shows I have had the pleasure in watching. It amazes me how they can be so crude at 12:15 on a Sunday.

    • Trivia
In the final episode, in which the Curious Orange becomes the citric equivalent of Davros from Docteur Who (1963), Curious Orange was originally to have been defeated by Tom Baker. Baker declined, saying that the part was "not for him".
    • Goofs
In the course of the show the Curious Orange's Bananas go off and then ripen again.
    • Quotes

The Unusual Priest: A young man came up to me the other day and said "What will my friends say when I tell them that I am a Christian?" "Oh my poor young fellow," I replied, "they will say you are a nerd, and a wally, and a fruitcake, and they will call you a brainless, foolish spamoid, and they will take down your trousers in the playground in front of all the girls, and they will rub sticky lollipops into your hair and then run away laughing, laughing, laughing. But later, when you become a famous TV Vicar, they will regret their foolishness."

    • Alternate versions
A 30 minute edited version was made for the Friday night following the Sunday afternoon on which the show went out live. This included un-bleeped versions of some sketches.
