This was the longest Dragon Ball Z film up until Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013), running at 72 minutes.
The North America DVD from FUNimation came in a white DVD case compared to all the other movies that came in black DVD cases.
The Broly character was created by writer Takao Koyama and designed by manga artist Akira Toriyama.
At 7:14 there is a Japanese sign on the wall that says: 'Interview venue Floor 6'.
In Latin Spanish dubbing, the voices of the main characters is not the same of the anime series, Goku is voiced by Enrique Mederos replacing to Mario Castañeda, Gohan is voiced by Araceli de León replacing to Laura Torres, Krilin is voiced by Luis Daniel Ramírez replacing to Eduardo Garza, Piccolo is voiced by José Luis Castañeda replacing to Carlos Segundo, Future Trunks is voiced by Óscar Flores replacing to Sergio Bonilla, King Kai is voiced by José Luis McConnell replacing to Ricardo Hill, Bulma is voiced by Mónica Manjarrez replacing to Rocío Garcel and Baby Trunks is voiced by Gaby Ugarte replacing to the same actress of Bulma.
