Nipper's breed is a St. Bernard.
Chilly's prototype bears a similar resemblance to Woody Woodpecker.
The stove has the old symbol for a civil defense fallout shelter on the front. This consisted of a circle that contained a design of three yellow and three black triangles. Blink and you'll miss it.
While the circle containing three triangles on the front of the stove does resemble the old symbol for a fallout shelter it is actually an air vent so that the amount of oxygen feeding the fire can be adjusted.
Some have speculate that Nipper is a precursor of Smedley due to their similar appearances. However, this is unlikely to be true.
