This is the French version of the Swiss-German movie "S'Waisechind vo Engelberg", credited to German director Hermann Kugelstadt. This was a co-production between France and Switzerland, headed by producer Félix Beaujon and his wife, screenwriter Jeanne Humbert (aka Johanna Humbert-Beaujon). Both movies were shot in parallel, with mostly different actors but a few (Christian Fourcade, Helen Vita, Camille Bert, Claude Vernier, Jean Vernier). Even the technical crew was apparently not the same.
