This madame doesn't offer much

You'll hardly be titilated by this film, that goes into the sordid industry which is that of a call girl. A blonde and beautiful reporter, fired from her job, decides to delve into the business, where instead of just researching, she lives the glamorous life, only becoming addicted to it, shunning people close to her away, where she finds solace in drugs. The movie sort of reminds you of Rush, where the two undercover agents got hooked on drugs themselves. This movie has us believe, the madame here is the notorious Heidi Fleiss, an overacted if over written character, who should really be in a looney bin. Besides being quite hot, I actually found the female character irritating, and honestly I didn't care much for her, although there were moments of concern, but I just really found this woman stubborn, if superficial, which really the whole movie is shallow (there are far better ones on the subject, with similar themes). For an R rated movie, you hardly get any sex if nudity (one memorable shot, involving one of the girls, walking towards camera shot). We have again those black and white pics of the girls being interviewed, but this movie is just too brief, and sorrily it fails. Again, I'll re-iterate, for T and A fans, this is not your bag. You'll be on a comedown.

YOU draw the line

I guess that you could call this a docudrama because some of it is probably fact, and some of it is probably fiction. It's a movie about a dirt-digging reporter who gets fired for pursuing a story too vigorously. Then she decides to become an escort, and afterward, tell about her experiences to the highest bidder. Trouble is, as she's going through the escort routine, she's losing the tolerance of her boyfriend, and her sister. She's also developing a cocaine habit, and befriending some of her co-workers, who she might expose. To this film's credit, it did not give me the impression of condemning or excusing this profession. Neither did it contain any glaring, low-budget features. Even unedited, I doubt that MADAM contains much sex, which might be unexpected by some viewers. All-in-all, a tolerable effort.
