Disney Parks have been the symbol of magic and wonder for generations of theme park guests for decades. While that's certainly a legacy maintained to this very day, sometimes Disney can do things that really make our skin crawl.
Although fixtures like the Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, and the iconic Haunted Mansion are designed intentionally to give us the shivers. Sometimes, Disney can be freaky without ever meaning to, and that's what makes it all the more unsettling. Case in point, a new video from "it's a small world."

One of the hip things to do on platforms like TikTok and Instagram is to post Pov videos. Things like "Pov: you wake up at your favorite beach" or "Pov you went to the eye doctor as a kid.

Glistening from her latest step-and-repeat at the 2024 Fashion Awards inside London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall, Rita Ora may have made headlines for a completely different reason. According to UK tabloid The Sun, Ora was enjoying casual conversation when something other than fashion talk was overheard.
“A friend of mine was rubbing shoulders with the singer at the British Fashion Awards when they overheard Rita chatting about her new role,” the article reads. “They told me: ‘Rita was dressed like a baddie from a Marvel film, and when someone commented on it, she let slip she has a part in a new Marvel film. She confirmed she had landed the role of someone evil and that she was super excited about getting stuck into it.’”

A major star is talking about Disney not changing the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and with a "Wicked" tongue to boot!
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has just celebrated its 30th anniversary as one of the most iconic attractions in all of Disney's history. Opening at what was then the Disney-mgm Studios, the attraction wonderfully integrated the classic TV series into a stunning attraction as fans loved the drops and amazing theme.
The ride was replicated for California Adventure, Paris' Disney Studios park and then Tokyo DisneySea. The latter had to be changed as The Twilight Zone isn't that famous in Japan, so the ride was altered to an original story of an explorer.
The California version was changed in 2017 to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, using the popular Marvel characters and a rock soundtrack. It's become a big success while the Florida version still retains the Twilight Zone themes.

Ariana Grande has a request.
The 31-year-old Wicked actress and pop superstar made an appearance on Las Culturistas, where she spoke out directly to Disney asking them not to re-theme the Florida version of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride into Marvel‘s Guardians of the Galaxy, as they did in California’s Disneyland.
“I want to speak on the Tower of Terror because I love and respect the Guardians of the Galaxy, of course I do. I think it’s a beautiful thing, it’s great, it’s impressive, it’s amazing. I’m a big Baby Groot person,” she began.
“I don’t remember much about her, but I love her,” she continued, adding “it’s not angst, it’s dire desperation” to keep the Florida ride the way it is.

Look, I won't mince words: I love the Disney theme park experience. Every year, my family and I head to one of the magical kingdoms and dutifully churn out 25,000 steps daily, zipping from ride to ride at the house Walt built. I love the food, the atmosphere, and how excited my girls get when spotting Disney princesses throughout the park.
Now, my preference is Disneyland in California, due to its numerous attractions and dizzying entertainment collection. However, I always take advantage of every opportunity to visit Disney World in Florida, specifically Disney's Hollywood Studios. While featuring only a fraction of Disneyland's rides (other rides can be found in neighboring parks), this colorful tourist trap still packs enough goods to warrant a day-long visit.

As the first trailers for Here drop, Disney fans realize it's secretly the adaptation they've always wanted. In recent years, Disney has struggled to discover the kind of movies their audiences gravitate towards and the properties they want to see on the big screen. While they toy with reboots, sequels, and spinoffs, Here may have cracked the code by channeling one of Walt Disney's most beloved attractions: the Carousel of Progress.
As odd as it may seem, Here is, in many ways, the big-screen equivalent of the nostalgic ride that has enchanted visitors for over half a century. Intriguing in its premise and ambitious in execution, the movie prepares to make its home in theaters globally, promising audiences an emotional roller coaster ride across the ages. Here is centered around a special place in New England where loving memories flourish across the decades, following generations of characters who find comfort in each other.

Disney's The Haunted Mansion attraction has a fabled past. The facade of the attraction was constructed during Walt Disney's lifetime in the New Orleans Square area of Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. However, following Walt's death in December 1966, the mansion sat undeveloped for years, and guests began to wonder what the mysterious building held in store for them. Since its opening, many different iterations of the attraction have opened in Disney Parks across the world. Following the successful release of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Disney released a movie based on the attraction starring comedian Eddie Murphy.
Murphy's movie was not nearly as successful as Pirates and still holds a 13% from critics on Rotton Tomatoes.

Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is crucial for Disney's success, as previous attempts to replace it have failed. Other movies based on Disney rides, like Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion, have failed critically and commercially, shining an uncertain light on upcoming films of the same ilk. Despite dwindling critical reception, Pirates of the Caribbean continues to be highly lucrative for Disney, proving a sixth installment is needed.
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 has had an uncertain future for a while, yet it needs to happen to avoid Disneys replacement failures. While the ranking of Pirates of the Caribbean movies naturally differs for everyone, many would agree that the original trilogy by Gore Verbinski contained the franchises strongest installments. Although flashes of greatness were found in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, they did not quite match up to their predecessors.

Disney parks have been going through a number of changes the past few years. In order to make way for the new, many beloved staples of Disneyland and Disney World have ended. People were forced to say goodbye to Disney Dollars, along with rides like the Tower of Terror. Now, in what might be the wildest change we've seen in a while, one park is getting rid of their Sleeping Beauty Castle. You'll recognize it as the castle you see as you walk inside the park. The iconic landmark will be no more at Hong Kong Disneyland so that they may make way for an updated park experience. The company made the announcement via press release, and we're certain the tears of Disney fans could be felt around the world. Okay, maybe it's not...

Tonight, they all had it out, and it's possible that none of the couples survived, despite a marriage proposal that would have had any murder-loving Angeleno's heart aflutter. Slowly but surely, Disney's acquisition of Marvel is spreading into business areas outside of merchandising and movies. It was four short years ago that Disney tightened their grip on our collective pop culture nostalgia. Having already secured Marvel Entertainment, the House of Mouse turned their all-seeing eye to Lucasfilm. On October 30, 2012 the acquisition announcement was made and the rest is now history. At the time fans were leery of the purchase, worried that Star Wars would become sanitized to bring in the all-mighty dollar of the preschool set. But while those fears have since been laid to rest with the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the merger wasn’t without its hiccups and casualties. One of them being an untitled sci-fi project by Max Landis, who was riding high off on the buzz Chronicle back in early 2012. First reported by Variety in January of 2012, the space adventure was axed as being “too similar” once they had Star Wars in their pocket. SlashFilm brought this tidbit...

An attraction called Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission — Breakout! is replacing Disneyland's Tower of Terror ride, and if our comments section is any indication, a lot of fans aren't happy about it. But maybe they'll be more open to an additional Guardians-related ride that's rumored to be coming to Walt Disney World's Epcot Center.
Walt Disney World Today (via /Film) says that current Epcot attraction Ellen's Energy Adventure is going to be replaced with the first roller coaster in the park's history, a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed ride that "would feature both elaborate scenes and a long roller coaster portion." Walt Disney World Today (via /Film) says that current Epcot attraction Ellen's Energy Adventure is going to be replaced with the first roller coaster in the park's history, a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed ride that "would feature both elaborate scenes and a long roller coaster portion." Disney parks are doing a complete overhaul. Is nothing sacred anymore? Are they so over catering to our millennial obsession with nostalgia? We'll let you be the judge. First, they did away with Disney Dollars and the fans Flipped. Then, they had the audacity to close down the Tower of Terror. You're killing us, Disney! The parks are taking after Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, giving us update after update we never knew we needed. Even updates we Know we never wanted. As we move into this new era of Disney and its famous parks, the PC police are on high alert. The latest change at Disney World? The Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, Wdwnt notes. That's right. To some, the update will...

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has wrapped production and fans are wondering what James Gunn's next project might be. Some are even tempting him with DC Comics properties, and he's revealed he's very open to the idea. Creators don't need to interact with fans but when they do and they're great at it, it's a really nice treat. Gunn is one of those creators. Recently he spoke on the San Diego Comic-Con footage from his upcoming Marvel release and why they chose not to release it to the public. But in a recent open Q&A on his Facebook page, the director got into all sorts of things. He addressed recent box office news regarding Suicide Squad's record-breaking opening: It beat us first weekend. We almost made more money second weekend. And there is a very likely chance we'll make more money at the end of the...

Among the many political leaders and ideals alluded to at the Democratic National Convention this week, one stood out as something of a non sequitur: the “Police Academy” movies. Former President Bill Clinton’s love of the comedy franchise came out during the DNC, which of course led to instant chatter on Twitter and even a callback in a later speech. Steve Guttenberg, one of the series’ stars, is pretty stoked: “We are all thrilled that both Bill and Chelsea let the secret out,” he wrote yesterday on CNN.

Goodbye forever, childhood. Disneyland is getting rid of the famous Tower of Terror in favor of a newer, hipper Guardians of the Galaxy ride. While there's certainly nothing wrong with a little Gotg, Disney fans are pretty emotional about the iconic rides demise. E! The new thrill, which will be named Guardians of the Galaxy—Mission: Breakout, will arrive in the summer of next year. In other words, get in line at The Hollywood Tower Hotel while you can. You'll want to stock up on those overpriced-but-worth-it souvenir photos before the ride goes all Marvel on us. Speaking of souvenir...

James Gunn and much of his cast from "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" popped up at the San Diego Comic Con last night to show off rapturously received first footage from the sequel.
The story will pick up two months after the first film ended. While the first was about the creation of a new family with this group, Gunn says the second is about them "being a family" which is much harder. The big additions to the cast are Pom Klementieff as Mantis and Kurt Russell, who plays Star-Lord's father - Ego the Living Planet. Speaking of their inclusion, Gunn says:
"Kurt's character is an incredibly important role... For me, he was the center - his character, even before he was around - was the center of what this movie was. We had a great camaraderie on the first film, but when Kurt and Pom started coming around,...

A “Guardians of the Galaxy” ride will debut at Disney’s California Adventure park in summer 2017, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced Saturday evening during a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego. The ride will be called “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!” and take over the space currently occupied by the Tower of Terror, a popular elevator-drop ride that will shut down in January. There was no word about what would happen to the Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Orlando. Feige offered a first look at concept art for the new attraction, which will have.

After debuting the new Doctor Strange trailer at its presentation at Comic-Con earlier this evening, Marvel Studios brought out Yondu and his team of Ravagers to introduce/make fun of the cast of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. After being on the receiving end of a sick Movie 43 burn, director James Gunn promised a big announcement, which turned out to be mere confirmation of the rumor that the Tower of Terror at Disneyland is being replaced with a new Guardians Of The Galaxy ride:
That’s fun and all, but then the studio debuted a clip from the upcoming movie—which it has yet to put online—that reportedly both confirmed and confounded something we already knew about the film. Yes, Kurt Russell will be playing Star-Lord’s dad in Guardians Vol. 2. That was a given. Here’s the weird part. He’ll also be playing this ...

Guests will board a gantry lift which launches them into a daring adventure as they join Rocket Raccoon in an attempt to set free his fellow Guardians. We've witnessed Kim Kardashian West do a lot of things: strip down for numerous magazine covers, take a pregnancy test on an airplane, turn her real-life experiences into emojis – but we've yet to see her ride the Tower of Terror at Disneyland – until today.
On Wednesday, the reality star took her daughter North West to the theme park to celebrate her third birthday and it truly was the happiest place on earth until Kourtney Kardashian's son Mason, 6, insisted Kim and Kourtney try out the infamous elevator drop ride with him.
Of course, being the Kardashians, the two documented the entire thing on social media.

Kim Kardashian put on a brave face, but it didn't last long at Disneyland. While in the beloved California theme park Wednesday celebrating her daughter North West's third birthday, the reality star went for a thrill ride of her own when she filed into one of the famed Tower of Terror elevators with sister Kourtney Kardashian. For anyone who hasn't yet experienced the ride, the popular attraction is themed as a old Hollywood hotel for the rich and famous controlled by supernatural elements, particularly in its haunted elevators, which don't exactly operate as they should. Instead, once buckled into a seat, a rider is destined to experience randomized sudden drops within the...

Last week, rumors started to surfaces that Disneyland would be closing down the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride and replace it with a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. It sounds like those rumors are actually true. Mice Chat backs up the rumor and even offers additional details on what to expect from the new ride. Apparently Disney was pissed when the news leaked.
According to the report, Team Disney Anaheim executives have been spending lots of early mornings and late nights building tests for the Guardians attraction and playing around with the pre-show hallways and queue. With this going on, it's not surprising that it leaked out.
The whole Twilight Zone story told on the ride will be removed and replaced with an all-new show that will at least partially focus on the Collector character from the Guardians film franchise. They go on to say:
