Although fixtures like the Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, and the iconic Haunted Mansion are designed intentionally to give us the shivers. A major star is talking about Disney not changing the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and with a "Wicked" tongue to boot!

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has just celebrated its 30th anniversary as one of the most iconic attractions in all of Disney's history. Opening at what was then the Disney-mgm Studios, the attraction wonderfully integrated the classic TV series into a stunning attraction as fans loved the drops and amazing theme.

The ride was replicated for California Adventure, Paris' Disney Studios park and then Tokyo DisneySea. The latter had to be changed as The Twilight Zone isn't that famous in Japan, so the ride was altered to an original story of an explorer.

The California version was changed in 2017 to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, using the popular Marvel characters and a rock soundtrack. It's become a big success while the Florida version still retains the Twilight Zone themes.

The 31-year-old Wicked actress and pop superstar made an appearance on Las Culturistas, where she spoke out directly to Disney asking them not to re-theme the Florida version of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride into Marvel‘s Guardians of the Galaxy, as they did in California’s Disneyland.

“I want to speak on the Tower of Terror because I love and respect the Guardians of the Galaxy, of course I do. I think it’s a beautiful thing, it’s great, it’s impressive, it’s amazing. I’m a big Baby Groot person,” she began.

“I don’t remember much about her, but I love her,” she continued, adding “it’s not angst, it’s dire desperation” to keep the Florida ride the way it is.

Disney's The Haunted Mansion attraction has a fabled past. The facade of the attraction was constructed during Walt Disney's lifetime in the New Orleans Square area of Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. However, following Walt's death in December 1966, the mansion sat undeveloped for years, and guests began to wonder what the mysterious building held in store for them. Disneyland has unveiled a new video that provides a more detailed look at Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!, the new superhero-themed attraction that's replacing the park's beloved Tower of Terror. We saw some concept art during Comic-Con, and now there's a video that shows off some of the designs and colors fans will see when they approach the huge building housing the ride.

An attraction called Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission — Breakout! is replacing Disneyland's Tower of Terror ride, and if our comments section is any indication, a lot of fans aren't happy about it. But maybe they'll be more open to an additional Guardians-related ride that's rumored to be coming to Walt Disney World's Epcot Center.

Walt Disney World Today (via /Film) says that current Epcot attraction Ellen's Energy Adventure is going to be replaced with the first roller coaster in the park's history, a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed ride that "would feature both elaborate scenes and a long roller coaster portion." This is notable because it would be the first ride in the park's 35 year history to eschew the "edutainment" theme that they've cultivated there, and it would be only the sixth ride there to be categorized as "thrill."

James Gunn and much of his cast from "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" popped up at the San Diego Comic Con last night to show off rapturously received first footage from the sequel.

The story will pick up two months after the first film ended. A “Guardians of the Galaxy” ride will debut at Disney’s California Adventure park in summer 2017, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced Saturday evening during a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego. The ride will be called “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!” and take over the space currently occupied by the Tower of Terror, a popular elevator-drop ride that will shut down in January. There was no word about what would happen to the Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Orlando. Feige offered a first look at concept art for the new attraction, which will have.

Here's some brand new concept art for Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!, the upcoming Marvel-themed ride that will replace Disneyland's Tower of Terror. We wrote about this back in May, but tonight the ride was confirmed on the Hall H stage at San Diego Comic-Con during Marvel Studios' presentation.

Last week, rumors started to surfaces that Disneyland would be closing down the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride and replace it with a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. It sounds like those rumors are actually true. Mice Chat backs up the rumor and even offers additional details on what to expect from the new ride. Apparently Disney was pissed when the news leaked.

According to the report, Team Disney Anaheim executives have been spending lots of early mornings and late nights building tests for the Guardians attraction and playing around with the pre-show hallways and queue. With this going on, it's not surprising that it leaked out.
