The show had a complete cast overhaul for the third season, keeping only one of the characters, Sgt. Ali McCormick (Julie Stewart), from the previous two seasons. In fact, Stewart is the only cast member to appear in all the episodes of all seven seasons.
Clearly somebody in Usa saw this show, & copy cut it to create cold case. the similarities are so many that ain't a coincidence. surprising that the creator of this one, didn't sue them for stealing their idea, & making money out of it.
