    Where's the DVD?

I bought a VHS copy of this in 1988 and it's beginning to get worn from multiple viewings. (The same thing happened to my treasured VHS copy of "The Compleat Beatles," another excellent documentary). With all of the garbage on DVD, why can't these be issued? There must be some licensing tie-ups somewhere....at any rate, this Rolling Stone documentary is fantastic and will just get better with time. Jerry Garcia and George Harrison are featured in interviews--RIP, and some of their insights (especially Garcia's) are wonderful (and in the case of Garcia, damn funny). Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, George Clinton, David Byrne, Tina Turner and many others are interviewed and the clips are pure rock n roll. The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland should get involved and get this thing on DVD--before the tape snaps on my VHS copy!

    One of the best!

I remember seeing this on tv back in 1987 and cursed myself for not having a video recorder! Therefore I had to record it to memory. As my memory has started to fade since 1987 I was able to purchase a used VHS copy and was glad to see that it was just as good as I remembered it to be! FAR OUT!

    DVD Version

I agree with Katz5 who said "this Rolling Stone documentary is fantastic and will just get better with time. It appears that it is available on DVD at:http://www.thevideobeat.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=592 and perhaps other online sites. Has anyone purchased this in the DVD version?
