Missy Elliott Looks To 'Riverdance' for New Video
Wacky hip-hop star Missy Elliott wanted her new single's video to really stand out from the crowd - so opted for a Riverdance style jig. The rapper - who is famed for her innovative videos - instructed director Dave Meyers to pull out all the stops on the promo for "Pass That Dutch" - including a bizarre Irish dance sequence in a corn field inspired by the talents of super-hoofer Michael Flatley. Meyers explains, "Every time she calls, she demands to be totally different. In addition to trying to keep up with her growth, I have to reinvent my wheel every time. She loves having a dance element, so we always find new ways to do innovative things around dance. When she said Riverdance, in my mind I went to the country and I said, 'What about cornstalks?' because I was reading a script at the time called Scarecrow."...

Flatley Claims Consensual Sex in Rape Lawsuit
Riverdance star Michael Flatley has claimed he had consensual sex with the woman who is suing him for allegedly raping her. The Irish super-hoofer is facing a $33 million lawsuit from the unnamed American woman, who claims Flatley raped her in a Las Vegas hotel last October. However, Flatley says she agreed to sex, kissed him goodbye the next morning and has volunteered to take a lie detector test to prove it. His lawyer Bert Fields also adds that when the lady allegedly contacted the star months ago requesting money not to make her claims public his client went to American police investigators the FBI. Fields claims, "That is not the act of a guy who raped someone." Police have confirmed they were not pursuing their investigation into the alleged incident. Flatley's fiancee Lisa Murphy - who said she was "shocked beyond belief" by the allegations - is also supporting her man. She says, "This whole thing is just complete and total lies. I stand by my man. I love him."...

Flatley Hit by $33 Million Rape Law Suit
Riverdance star Michael Flatley is facing a $33 million lawsuit from a woman who alleges the dancer raped her in a Las Vegas hotel. The Chicago-area estate agency worker, who is not named, has filed the suit in Lake County, Illinois, America claiming she was raped in the private bedroom area of Flatley's suite at the Venetian Resort Hotel-Casino last October. A lawyer for the lady Dean Mauro claims she met Flatley at a function in Las Vegas the previous month and had been invited to spend another day sightseeing, shopping and gambling with the star. However, Flately's lawyer Bert Fields has countered that the woman in question attempted to blackmail his client months ago, threatening to make a charge of rape public unless she received a cash payment. Fields - who dubbed the allegations "absolutely false" - added, "There is no truth to it whatsoever. The evidence to that effect is overwhelming." Lieutenant Jeff Carlson, from the Las Vegas Police Department, confirmed the allegation had been reported to them, but the authorities declined to press charges.
