Actor and co-writer Bruce Arntson originally appeared as his character Existo on the Saturday morning children's show Hé, Vern, c'est Ernest! (1988).
Jim Varney and Gailard Sartain had previously appeared together in Ernest et les joyeuses colonies (1987), Le père Noël est en prison (1988), Hé, Vern, c'est Ernest! (1988), and Ernest est dupe (1990). This film would be their final project before Varney's death in 2000.
Star Bruce Arntson kept the penis-shaped pogo stick that his character Existo used in one of his performances. Director and co-writer Coke Sams and producer J. Clarke Gallivan mailed the giant vagina props that were utilized in the same musical number to Loree Gold for her to use in her one-woman stage show "Snatched . . . Stories From Down There" in Los Angeles, California.
