The series was rerun by the Rewind TV channel in October and November 2024, and again in 2025.
Mitch mentions in the series that he did national service in Cyprus. This means John Thaw was playing a character several years older than himself, as he was born in 1942 and therefore missed national service by at least three years.
The series was apparently filmed in 1982 but not shown on ITV until late 1984.
