While Xbox and Sony Suffer Legendary Layoffs, Warhammer 40,000 Employees Are Getting Over $18K Each as Bonus
Image
We’ve seen a massive portion of the tech industry experiencing workforce reductions in the years following the Covid pandemic. One of the biggest companies following the layoff trend was Microsoft, which cut thousands of jobs on multiple occasions for its gaming division. Even Sony followed the trend by downsizing its workforce across multiple PlayStation studios.

However, there’s one gaming company out there that isn’t bending its knees to this trend: Games Workshop. It’s the mind responsible for giving us the legendary Warhammer 40k franchise. Not only is it not indulging in layoffs, but it’s also giving its employees massive bonuses. It’s time to learn about Microsoft and Sony.

Warhammer 40k developer rewards staff with bonuses

Games Workshop has announced impressive growth figures for the 52 weeks ending June 1, 2025. The company’s revenue has reached €560 million from the previous year’s figure of €497.7 million. That’s...

Titus Welliver Loses His Next Big TV Role Following Bosch: Legacy Series Finale
Image
It's been a rough week for actor Titus Welliver. Just five days after Bosch: Legacy dropped its series finale on Prime Video, CBS has opted not to move forward with the actor's proposed The Equalizer spinoff.

Per Deadline, the decision not to proceed with the spinoff series comes two days after the backdoor pilot aired as the sixteenth episode of The Equalizer Season 5.Titled "Sins of the Father," the episode introduced audiences to Welliver's ex-CIA agent Elijah Reed and his daughter, Samantha Reed, played by Juani Feliz, with the latter reaching out to Queen Latifah's Robyn McCall to help her find her missing father. The untitled The Equalizer spinoff would have served as Welliver's next major show following the conclusion of Bosch: Legacy, which wrapped up the actor's decade-long tenure as fan-favorite detective Harry Bosch.

The spinoff was first reported to be in development back in November 2024, with...

Ron Howard's Beloved Sci-Fi Classic Is Impossible To Watch Online
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

The most frequent fact cited about Ron Howard's 1985 sci-fi film "Cocoon" is that star Wilford Brimley was only 50 years old when he appeared in it. One might have heard the statistic that Tom Cruise was the same age when he made "Jack Reacher" and "Oblivion." This was said to be notable because Brimley plays an aged retiree in "Cocoon," and his advanced age is part of the film's plot, while Cruise was still leading action franchises. Many young people can't wrap their heads around the fact that two 50-year-old men should look so different in age.

Another fun fact: Did you know that pretty much only people around Wilford Brimley's age in "Cocoon" remember the movie "Cocoon?" Ron Howard's film was a notable hit at the time, making over $85 million on a $17 million budget (those numbers translate to $252 million...

Seven Solidly Funny Sitcoms Whose Full Runs Are Only Available on YouTube
Image
For most Bob Newhart fans, his original sitcom, The Bob Newhart Show, is his crown jewel, but I’ll admit a slight preference for his 1980s show Newhart. Perhaps it’s because I grew up watching the second show on Nick at Nite or maybe it’s because broader characters — like Larry, Darryl and Darryl — seemed to make Newhart slightly angrier (and even funnier) than he was in the original.

Whatever the reason, when I revisited the series last year, I was enjoying the eight-season trip down memory lane until I realized that the show’s series finale — which is usually regarded as one of the greatest in TV history — was missing from Amazon Prime. Not only that, but several other episodes were missing, too. It turns out, YouTube is the only place where you can watch the entirety of the show.

While people might not think of YouTube as...

Image
The relationship between Nina (Cynthia Watros) and her “frenemy” Ava Jerome (Maura West) is one of General Hospital‘s more complex dynamics. They got past the whole Nina stealing Ava’s daughter Avery after she gave birth only to have their bond torn apart over Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), a man they have both loved. The two women are set to interact again in the March 12 episode when Ava comes to Nina to ask her for a favor. Will this ask challenge the duo’s renewed friendship? R.I.P. Peter Jason, prolific character actor and John Carpenter regular, has passed away at 80
Image
Over the course of a career that stretched back to 1967, Peter Jason racked up more than 270 screen acting credits, turning in performances that inspired legendary filmmaker John Carpenter to name him “one of the great character actors in cinema” – and to cast him in seven different projects: Prince of Darkness, They Live, Body Bags, In the Mouth of Madness, Village of the Damned, Escape from L.A., and Ghosts of Mars. Sadly, Carpenter has now had to take to social media to break the news to his fans and followers that Jason has passed away at the age of 80. Carpenter wrote, “His first movie was Howard Hawks’ Rio Lobo. He was a dear friend and I’ll miss him terribly.“

It is true that the 1970 film Rio Lobo was Jason’s first theatrical feature, but he already had three years of TV acting to his name at that point, with credits...

25 Best Movies Set In Ancient Rome Ranked
Image
Movies about Rome often bring to memory emperors, gladiators, Julius Caesar, and aristocrats. Many people also think of William Shakespeare, as the Bard himself wrote frequently on the subject in his plays. Outside of Shakespeare and adaptations of his work, Ancient Rome played a big role in massive studio movies since the early days of silent films. Some of the most renowned movies in cinema history have been set in Ancient Rome, including some of the world's earliest blockbusters with headline-grabbing budgets, such as Ben Hur's then-recording-breaking $15 million dollar production cost in 1959.

Movies set in the Roman Empire fall into the "sword and sandal" movie subgenre, though the movies set in this specific corner of the ancient world are renowned for their tendency to have massive sets and budgets to match. The increased budget brought with it big risks, but the best movies set in Ancient Rome often ended...

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's Newest Product Is A Great Entry Into The Tabletop Game
Image
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 introduced many new players to the grim dark universe of Warhammer, topping sales charts as the most successful entry in the franchise. While Space Marine 2 is an incredibly fun experience, there's more to the franchise than just hacking and slashing virtual Tyranids. Taking advantage of this newly revitalized interest, Games Workshop has released a new product that is a simple yet engaging entry into the original tabletop game.

The Warhammer tabletop isn't exactly the most beginner-friendly experience, having a steep learning curve and high entry cost. Despite this disconnect with new players, Games Workshop hasn't given up on indoctrinating a new generation of dedicated fans. Taking advantage of Space Marine's renewed popularity after a decade since the events of the original game took place, there's no better place to start playing Warhammer than with this newest tabletop accessory.

Is it Too Late to Say Space Marine 2 Reminds us of the 2 Greatest Halo Games Ever Made?
Image
With more than a decade between the first Warhammer 40k: Space Marine, and its successor, Space Marine 2, gamers were concerned about the new game failing to reach the heights achieved by the previous title. The development was being handled by a different studio altogether, Saber Interactive, instead of Relic Entertainment.

However, Space Marine 2 has absolutely smashed it! Critics and fans of the franchise believe Saber has delivered a game that is a fitting tribute to the venerated franchise and a worthy sequel to the first game. What’s really special about Space Marine 2 is that it manages to replicate the exact nostalgia that Bungie managed to deliver with Halo: Reach and Halo 3: Odst.

“Beware of TikTok”: Space Marine 2 Gets a Player Service Announcement as Huge Spoilers Emerge

Space Marine 2 has created an extreme hype that Focus Entertainment has never faced with other Warhammer 40K games. Therefore, it is pretty natural that some issues will occur, and one of the most common problems has surfaced. The game clip leak issue started happening with one of the most anticipated games of this year.

Spoilers often started circulating before a game is officially released. That’s a known issue that almost all overhyped games face. Naturally, Space Marine 2 is not an exception, and only a few weeks before the official release, players have started encountering game clips on social media.

Focus Entertainment Failed to Prevent Game Clip Leaks Before the Official Launch

Developers usually put years of effort behind a game’s complete development process. Therefore, they definitely don’t want others to spoil all these efforts only by taking clips from the game and releasing them on social media.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver!

Djimon Hounsou and Staz Nair suggest a spinoff focused on General Titus dealing with his past and the impact it's had on him. The ending of Rebel Moon - Part Two hints at a possible Part Three, which itself could explore Titus' character further. Despite negative reviews, Zack Snyder plans to expand Rebel Moon into multimedia, potentially including spinoffs like one centered on Titus.

Rebel Moon stars Djimon Hounsou and Staz Nair have revealed which character they believe should have their own spinoff following the events of Part Two: The Scargiver. The second half of the first planned story in the budding sci-fi franchise saw the varied main cast drive the Imperium away from the moon of Veldt. However, with all but two major characters surviving the final battle, the movie left lots of doors open for a wider franchise in the future.

Image
Titus Kaphar’s Exhibiting Forgiveness premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday.

That certainly proved true now at the Sundance Film Festival, where Kaphar and Exhibiting Forgiveness just had a true moment. A packed Eccles Theater gave this afternoon’s premiere of the acclaimed painter’s feature directorial debut a resoundingly enthusiastic reaction.

A round of applause and cheers during the closing credits clearly caught the attention of suddenly busy buyers in the audience. As Kaphur and cast members Holland, Day, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and John Earl Jelks took the post-screening stage to a standing ovation, you could see a number of those buyers out in the lobby Asap and on their phones. Sundance being Sundance, more than a few of them were...

‘Carmen’ Review: Lovers on the Run in Benjamin Millepied’s Unclassifiable Dance Odyssey
Image
Located somewhere between a classic opera, a modern dance piece, and a deadly fever dream — between the timeless beauty of ancient myth and the modern nightmare of America’s current immigration policies — Benjamin Millepied’s “Carmen” is stretched across a few too many borders to ever feel like it’s standing on solid ground. And yet, (Nicolas Britell) for the kind of aggressively unclassifiable movie that would never exist if not for these two artists reaching beyond their disciplines to create it themselves.

Loosely inspired by Georges Bizet’s 1875 opera of the same name — so loosely, in fact, that Millepied thinks of his film as less of a re-telling or adaptation than he does a version of Bizet’s tragedy from a parallel universe — this “Carmen” moves the action from the southern tip of Spain to the northern cusp of Mexico, pares the source material’s busy story down to the brink of abstraction,...
