The minions might be taking over streaming. However, even two movies from the Despicable Me franchise aren’t enough to catch up with Kevin Costner’s Western thriller. After spending three weeks at No. 1 on Nielsen’s overall streaming viewership chart, Netflix’s Squid Game has relinquished its crown.

Netflix’s Jamie Foxx-Cameron Diaz thriller Back In Action landed the top spot this week with 1.5 billion minutes viewed, Nielsen said in its weekly update on Thursday. Squid Game fell to No. 4 on the overall streaming chart with 1.25 billion minutes viewed during the Jan. 13-Jan. 19 frame, the most recent week in the data firm’s tally.

Meanwhile, Billy Bob Thornton-starrer Landman kept up its run with 1.05 billion minutes of viewing and represents the only Paramount+ show outside of library title Dexter to chart in the top 5 for this week on either the TV or movies charts.

Speaking of Western-influenced shows, Peter Berg’s American Primeval, which was the top premiere on the streaming chart last week, rose to No. 2 on the overall chart with 1.41 billion minutes viewed.

Squid Game dominated the streaming charts, though it cooled off a good amount in its third week at No. 1. Landman also peaked following its season finale, and American Primeval had a strong debut.

For the week of Jan. 6-12, Squid Game racked up 2.37 billion minutes of viewing on Netflix, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. That’s down by about 48 percent from the previous week — but still almost a billion minutes clear of Landman in second place. Since the Dec. 26 premiere of season two, Squid Game has totaled 11.88 billion minutes of watch time in the United States.

As for Landman, its 1.38 billion minutes for the week leading into its Jan. 12 season finale continued the Paramount+ drama’s streak of improving every week it’s been on. It grew from 1.3 billion minutes a week earlier.

American Primeval, a western from Peter Berg, was the top premiere of the week with 1.25 billion viewing minutes on Netflix.

Invincible Season 3 starts streaming on Prime Video on February 6, and the series has accrued many voice actors. Most of the characters have familiar voices tied to big-name actors who might be hard to identify without seeing a face. The series has added eight new actors as well, playing superheroes, villains, and more. Season 3 also builds tensions as Mark struggles to juggle life as a superhero, a Viltrumite, and a teenager.

Tony Robbins, the noted life coach and self-help author, is teaming with Paramount Global to launch a Fast channel.

The channel, which will be available this summer on Pluto TV, Prime Video, Plex and Roku, will offer access to Robbins’ seminars for the first time. It will feature programming spanning more than four decades.

Robbins announced the venture Wednesday at a panel during NATPE and the RealScreen Summit in Miami, appearing alongside Dan Cohen, Paramount’s Chief Content Licensing Officer.

In the conversation, the partners mentioned numerous times that filmmaker Brett Ratner played a key role in connecting Robbins with Paramount after the company initiated the idea and sought buy-in from Robbins. The exact nature of his involvement was not specified during the session, but he will lend a hand with production and planning. The Rush Hour director was spotted amongst NATPE attendees in the lobby of the InterContinental Hotel.

The franchise may be hopelessly tainted now, thanks to director Brett Ratner, but a whole lot of people have been watching the Rush Hour movies lately. Both Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 are currently in Netflix’s Top 10 — of course, the list also contains Boss Baby, so it isn’t exactly the highest of honors.

Behind Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, the Rush Hour trilogy brought countless laughs to fans from 1998 to 2007.
