Despite being a studio film with an adequate budget and some famous actors, it was released in just one theatre and it was pulled after only one week. Grossing only $309, it's one of the biggest flops of all time.
Will Friedle and Jennifer Love Hewitt dated in real life in 1997. Hewitt would later made a special guest appearance in And Then There Was Shawn (1998), in which Friedle co-starred.
Lee Majors plays Officer Austin. He played Colonel Steve Austin in L'homme qui valait 3 milliards (1974). As he tosses the Trojan to Brad, the "bionic" sound effect from that show is heard.
The call sign, "Seven Mary Three," used to page Lee Majors' police officer character is the same call signal used for Chips (1977) characters Ponch and Jon, and is also the name of a popular alternative rock band.
