Dean Jones appeared in both versions of "That Darn Cat". In the original L'Espion aux pattes de velours (1965) he had the lead male role, as FBI agent Zeke Kelso. In the remake Le nouvel espion aux pattes de velours (1997) he had a brief role as Mr. Flint.
Eddie Murphy turned down the part of agent Zeke Kelso. Murphy would later star in Dolemite Is My Name (2019), also written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski.
Christina Ricci and Michael McKean who play father and daughter in this movie have appeared in the Casper movies. Ricci starred in Casper (1995) and McKean appeared in Casper, l'apprenti fantôme (1997).
