It isn't publicly known why the series ended after two years, but it may have been from a mixture of things, from Ross Higgins growing tired of his iconic role, to the rise of several cast members, to ratings and budget concerns. The cast never commented on it as many of the cast went on to successful roles in theatre or TV. Years later one member of the cast commented on a video someone shared saying ' that they had a ball filming the show'.
The character of Joan Collins was based loosely off of Elaine Lee herself.
Ross Higgins would reprise his role as Ted Bullpitt more than 11 years after Kingswood Country had ended. Higgins' character moved to a retirement village in this show.
The show had a long running joke about Joan and her Logie, Bullpitt would be nominated for a Logie, but lost out to other comedy show Full Frontal.
