The Last Road

i paid amazon $150 for this DVD (aka, Speedway) and it's worth every cent. playmate petra verkaik is a huge breasted brunette and she gets topless. playmate suzi simpson is a medium breasted blonde and get's them out.

Petra Verkaik. Red-blooded males everywhere know her as the leggy brunette with a face like an angel and the awe-inspiring rack of a Russ Meyer girl- -and every ounce of those DD-cup beauties is natural. It's no small wonder that as of 2003 the bodacious Bunny has made more appearances in Playboy than any other centerfold model.

Born in Athens, Greece, but raised in America, former Catholic school girl Suzy Simpson emerged as one of the many Pamela Anderson-esque centerfolds to grace the pages of Playboy in the early '90s.

While this film is, at best, difficult to slog through, Petra Verkaik fans get to see her in a supporting role. While Petra appears in just a handful of scenes, she does have lines - just not too many strung together at once. To my knowledge, this is the largest role for Petra in a theatrical release. I just wish someone would give her a real chance as an actress. She's a real treasure!

This movie is actually not very good at all, even if you have lowered standards and expectations for this type of flick. But it is notable for one thing. Its star, Julie Strain, is not in her usual macho woman/domanatrix role here. Rather, she plays a warm, almost vulnerable character, as hard as that may be to imagine. It's a nice change for her and it would be better if the movie wasn't so poorly written and badly acted. It's really a clunker.

If you're just watching for naked women, there's not much quantity but at least some quality. Ms. Strain looks great of course and there's also Playboy centerfold model Petra Verkaik on hand. Yow!

The 'Last Road' is a perfect example of a fast forward movie. It is for the most part filled with everything associated with bad B-movies, tired plot, bad dialog, and directing that varies from mediocre to awful. And like many bad B-movies it hopes viewers will be too distracted by the gorgeous women cast in it to notice its shortcomings. And in fairness, when one of those women is Petra Verkaik, the filmmakers go a long way towards achieving that goal, though they still come up short.

Petra lights up the screen in her scenes, but unfortunately she has only three scenes, which altogether probably add up to no more than about 4 minutes, and this is far too little to save the film. Still even with her few scenes, viewers of this film definitely won't wonder why Petra Verkaik is the most photographed model in Playboy history (besting even Pamela Anderson). Petra is, even by Playboy standards, absolutely beautiful, and her naturally endowed buxom figure is of course gorgeous.

In the end though I just can't recommend this film, except as a conditional recommendation to Julie Strain and Petra Verkaik fans. For the truly committed Julie Strain fans who don't care how bad a movie is as long as Julie is in it, they might find at least renting this film to be worthwhile. However, Petra Verkaik fans should definitely consider this movie, because Petra's scenes are worthwhile, and this is the only film Petra has been in where she has had a decent amount of screen time. As long as Petra fans realize that there are only a few minutes of this film that will be of any interest to them, and which they will just want to fast forward to, they probably won't be disappointed.

Cale "JR" was a successful race driver. After his death, his father and his former fiancée Maggie hate to hear his arrogant rival Billy boast constantly that now nobody can defeat him. Harry, a former air force pilot, asks Maggie to give him Cale's car for a race against Billy. Only after he's lost the race (and the car, to Billy) he confesses he never drove a race before. Maggie is angry, but she gives Harry a second chance after he got himself a new car, since she's fallen in love with him.

Well, the good thing about the movie is that it is going straight ahead like the cars on the road. It's filming beautiful people (including Julie Strain as Maggie) in sunny locations, and that's passing the time at least. But the bad thing is that the race scenes are poorly filmed and edited. There is even a crash outside the frame, so you don't see it happen, you just hear the noise. One can't film such a thing any cheaper. This lack of action is rather deadly, because now the emotional scenes have to carry the whole movie and they are not strong enough for that. In a nutshell, "The Last Road" tries to be a drama, not an action movie, but doesn't succeed at that.
