John Holmes purchased a bag of real smelly offal for the scene which shows a disemboweled man lying dead on a motel bed. Holmes basically lied in order to get a job as a make-up man on this film.
Some of the surrealistic images seen at the start of this movie were from a short film made by producer Bob Chinn.
