Veteran post-hardcore act Thrice have announced a new album titled Horizons/West. In advance of its October 3rd release, the band has unveiled the single “Gnash.”
Horizons/West serves as a companion to the band’s last album, 2021’s Horizons/East. “This is the first time we leaned into something that felt like a direct continuation, like a sequel to a previous album,” said Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue.

He continued, “A lot of this record is about parsing reality. We’re constantly being influenced by algorithms, by fear, by our own social echo chambers. Horizons/West tries to pull the curtain back on some of that. We’ve always just followed our curiosity, wherever it leads. We want to keep growing, exploring, and making something that feels honest to who we are right now.”
Thrice will support the album with a recently announced Fall 2025 North American tour.

Good Chaos, the U.K. production banner founded by industry veteran Mike Goodridge, has signed a first look deal with Searchlight Pictures.
The arrangement — which will see Searchlight develop and produce films alongside Good Chaos — comes during a period of success and growth for the London-based company, which last year saw two of its films shortlisted for the international feature Oscar in Baltasar Kormakur’s Icelandic romance drama “Touch” and Sandhya Suri’s India-set crime thriller “Santosh,” representing the U.K.
Coming up, the company heads to Cannes with Shih-Ching Tsou’s “Left Handed Girl” (co-written by recently crowned Oscar monopolizer and Tsou’s frequent collaborator Sean Baker) in the Critics’ Week sidebar. Beyond the festival, it’s adding another Oscar winner to its ranks with “Orphan,” the next film from “Son of Saul” director Laszlo Nemes and now in post.

The women of 1923 didn’t just endure hardship — they embodied it.
And in the wake of a devastating finale, Michelle Randolph (Elizabeth) and Aminah Nieves (Teonna) sat down with TV Fanatic to unpack what survival really looks like when your entire world has been turned upside down.
(TV Fanatic)
For Michelle, Elizabeth’s exit from the Dutton family wasn’t bitter — it was just… empty.
“I understand why she walked away and why she should,” Michelle says, reflecting on how Elizabeth’s story mirrored the emotional wrap of filming itself.

Tom Felton commented on the real-life nicknames that he utilized to make his performance as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films exceptional and convincing. Along with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson, Felton skyrocketed to fame at a young age after the breakout success of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. He would go on to become a core part of the Harry Potter franchise's cast and would play one of the most integral characters in the entire series, the conflicted and disturbed Draco Malfoy.
Following the enormous success of the Harry Potter films, which spanned eight installments with the final one being 2011's Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Felton went on to star in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Murder in the First, and The Flash. Apart from acting, Felton also has a career in music as a pop singer. He has released several singles, starting with...

California Gov. Gavin Newsom plans to announce a major proposal to boos the film industry in California at a press conference in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Newsom will be speaking at Raleigh Studios Hollywood, 5300 Melrose Ave. E, LA, CA 90038. The event begins at 1:45 p.m. Pacific.
Details about the proposal have not been made public, but the move comes amid a challenging time for the entertainment industry in its home state. Earlier this month, FilmLA reported that production in Greater Los Angeles dropped 5% during the third quarter of 2024, to a total of 5,048 shoot days.
That makes for the weakest quarter of the year so far with a 36.4% decrease from its five-year average — and below strike levels. Reality TV as a sector was hit particularly hard, with a 56% drop in the quarter.
The numbers reinforce the dire situation many entertainment workers in Los Angeles are experiencing, as TheWrap spotlighted in...

There are two major mainstream contenders here. The first is Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” which has, at this point, outgrown the whole Drake beef to become a moment of its own. The video isn’t necessarily as technically impressive as Lamar’s past nominees, but it is still a great video and Lamar is a field favorite. Throughout his career, he has received five nominations, the most for any performer, and he has won twice, for “Bad Blood” (with Taylor Swift) and “Humble.” If “Not Like Us” wins, it’ll be Lamar’s third victory,...

Sallie Ciganovich has styled actors’ hair on “Star Wars” streaming shows like “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka” and earned four Primetime Emmy nominations over her two-decade career.
But these days her struggle to find steady work in Hollywood has led her to reopen what she fondly calls “the shack in the back” — the eight-by-10-foot shed by her pool where she is cutting and coloring friends’ hair to help ensure her family’s survival.
“This was never meant to be my income,” Ciganovich told TheWrap on a recent Sunday, while standing against one wall of her shack, near a framed still from “The Mandalorian” signed by creator and showrunner Jon Favreau.
“It was just always meant to be where my friends would come over and get their hair cut. Or where I would do little projects. It was like my little safe space, where I would practice a hairstyle or whatever.

Harry Potter star Tom Felton was a very popular name during his time in the much-beloved franchise where he played fan-favorite character Draco Malfoy. He made a big impression among fans with his antagonistic portrayal of the character over 8 films but since the end of the film, he has not done anything significant up to that level since the franchise’s end.
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone
The next decade saw him appear in supporting roles in films like Belle, Risen, Megan Leavey, and A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting, but he was not the standout in any of them. Fans are already concerned that his movie career is fading away while Felton on the other hand, is venturing into his musical side of him and recently released an album. But fans are not happy with this and are totally eviscerating his album.

Amazon Prime Video's The Other Zoey features mellow songs that enhance the viewing experience and reflect the protagonist's journey of love and romance. The movie draws inspiration from early rom-com movies but offers a contemporary take on familiar ideas, following the story of a college girl who creates a compatibility app. The soundtrack includes songs like "Get Up," "Product of Capitalism," and "What I Like About You," which are featured in key moments of the film. The original soundtracks can be found on various streaming platforms.
In its portrayal of a young girl's exploration of romance and love, Amazon Prime Video's The Other Zoey features several mellow songs that effectively enhance one's viewing experience. Although director Sara Zandieh's The Other Zoey seemingly draws inspiration from the tropes and story beats of several rom-com movies of the early aughts, it etches its name in the genre by giving audiences a contemporary look at familiar ideas.
