William Shatner & 14 Other Actors You Didn't Know Were in The Twilight Zone
Image
Among the various anthology television series of the 1960s, none are better-known or more influential than The Twilight Zone. A mix of science fiction, fantasy and horror, The Twilight Zone was conceived by Rod Serling as a weekly allegory and modern-day morality play. As an anthology, the series became a revolving door for existing stars and up-and-coming actors over its five-season run.

Premiering on October 2, 1959, The Twilight Zone aired for nearly five years and featured numerous actors at various stages of their careers. With 156 episodes, multiple reboots, and the 1983 movie, it's easy to forget some of the famous faces that graced the original series over the years. Most of them appeared on the show before they became famous, and because The Twilight Zone has stood the test of time, those early performances have become delightful Easter eggs for new fans to discover.

‘Drop’ Review: A Paranoid Tech Thriller Set During a Nerve-Wracking First Date
Image
A silly, pulpy mystery entirely sure of its own conceit, “Drop” combines tech paranoia and the looming specter of abuse to create something surprisingly taut and entertaining. Directed by Christopher Landon — best known for his involvement in the “Happy Death Day” and “Paranormal Activity” movies — the film’s complicated setups are executed with a deft and capable hand. Although set in a fine dining establishment, it’s a junk-food thriller fried to near-perfection, balancing the tensions of kidnapping, conspiracy and murder with those of a nerve-wracking first date. It’s crisp and delicious.

After a hair-raising prologue involving a couple pointing guns at one another (a scene whose purpose clicks into place much later), “Drop” gently introduces its protagonist, widowed mother Violet (Meghann Fahy), as she prepares for her first date with Henry (Brandon Sklenar), a handsome photographer she’s been speaking to online. Her snarky, supportive sister Jen (Violett Beane...

31 Years Later, This Forgotten Twilight Zone Special Is Still Worth Revisiting
Image
With The Twilight Zone, firebrand creator Rod Serling changed the face of television in a way that would continue on long after his death. In 1994, almost 20 years after his passing, his writing came to life in Twilight Zone: Rod Serling's Lost Classics — all thanks to a chance discovery in his widow Carol's garage. Two previously unproduced stories lit up the small screen, taking fans on one last thrilling trip to the Zone.

Admittedly, "Lost Classics" is a bit of an oxymoron, but this special provides a reminder of what made The Twilight Zone so iconoclastic. Richard Matheson expanded "The Theatre" from an outline full of paranoia and self-fulfilling prophecies; "Where the Dead Are" was a Lovecraftian horror story filmed exactly as Serling wrote it, and it provokes questions about what kinds of stories he might turn out today. Twilight Zone: Rod Serling's Lost Classics is not readily available, but intrepid...

Not Many Know Star Trek’s William Shatner Starred in 2 of the Greatest ‘The Twilight Zone’ Episodes of All Time
Image
Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek: The Original Series pushed sci-fi to new heights and made Will Shatner a global icon. However, his exploits as Captain Kirk weren’t Shatner’s first rodeo in one of the most influential sci-fi shows of all time, as prior to Star Trek, he appeared in The Twilight Zone.

While Shatner’s work in the acclaimed sci-fi show was brief initially, interestingly, the actor returned to headline one of the most noteworthy episodes in The Twilight Zone, which is saying something.

Before Star Trek became notable for its exploration of different themes through the lens of sci-fi, The Twilight Zone took a similar approach to the medium, which debuted almost a decade prior to the former.

Moreover, the anthology nature kept each episode fresh,...

10 Star Trek Actors Who Appeared on The Twilight Zone
Image
This article contains a brief mention of suicide.

The Twilight Zone and Star Trek: The Original Series both arrived at roughly the same era in time, when television was booming and actors in the medium often punched a clock. Journeyman performers would land one-shot roles on all manner of series, sometimes giving strong performances before moving on to the next one. The hope was to land a regular role on a hit series. If not, many actors simply took the next job.

This practice resulted in some significant crossover for the two series, both of which went on to become evergreens and are still watched and enjoyed by audiences today. Actors who appeared on The Twilight Zone later went on to The Original Series, which at the time was just one more show among many on their resume. New incarnations of both series have repeated the treat, with the 1980s...

Jaume Collet-Serra has finally crawled out from under The Rock. ‘All Red Hair and No. B.S.’: Grateful Dead and Bonnie Raitt Tributes Soar at Kennedy Center Honors
Image
The 2024 edition of the Kennedy Center Honors celebrated an eclectic assortment of entertainers Sunday night: filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, singer Bonnie Raitt, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and surviving members of the Grateful Dead. The organization also bestowed its honor on an entertainment venue for the first time, New York’s iconic Apollo Theater.

As per tradition, the honorees observed the proceedings from the presidential box in the Kennedy Center Opera House, accompanied by President Joe Biden, first lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and First Husband Doug Emhoff. Freshly arrived from a White House reception, all received rousing ovations from an appreciative audience when introduced.

That White House tradition could go on hiatus during the incoming Trump administration, since Donald Trump notably declined to participate in the affair during his first presidency. Nonetheless, invitations will be extended by the rigidly nonpartisan arts institution, the Kencen assures.

Slated to air on CBS Dec.

Bonnie Raitt on What She Thinks of That Charli Xcx Sample
Image
One of the year’s least expected samples on a record started with an email. A few months ago, Bonnie Raitt received a note from Bon Iver auteur Justin Vernon. Raitt was already familiar with Vernon, especially after he covered her 1991 standard “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” with a bit of “Nick of Time” tacked on, a dozen years back. This time, Vernon was circling back to the latter song, but in a very different way.

As Raitt recalls, “Justin said, ‘I’m working with this artist you may or may not know,...

Blue Thunder | An underrated 1980s classic contains some of the best aerial action scenes you’ll ever see
Image
In light of the Christopher Nolan rumours, we take a look back at 1983’s Blue Thunder – a high-tech thriller that deserved more attention on its release.

It’s hard to pinpoint why the vehicular TV and film boom of the 1980s happened. Was it a coincidence that the likes of Knight Rider (1982), Firefox (also 1982), Blue Thunder (1983), Airwolf (1984) and Street Hawk (1985) all came out within a few years of each other?

Whatever the explanation, there was a brief period where vehicles got top billing, whether they were experimental planes (Firefox) helicopters, an ‘all-terrain attack motorcycle’ (Street Hawk) or Knight Rider.

Blue Thunder – the original 1983 film, not the short-lived TV spin-off which emerged the following year – is arguably the best of the lot. An action thriller directed by John Badham, it was one of the most exciting movies of its type released in the early 1980s – and yet, for some reason, several...

The Best Star Trek Actors Who Guest Starred In The Twilight Zone
Image
Two of the most-loved sci-fi franchises of all time have a lot more crossover than you might think. Before starring on "Star Trek: The Original Series," several key members of the enterprise popped up in Rod Serling's seminal series "The Twilight Zone." A few decades later, the same pattern would repeat, only it would be future "Star Trek: The Next Generation" stars cutting their teeth on episodes of the '80s "Twilight Zone" reboot. Even the most recent iteration of the show, Jordan Peele's short-lived but ambitious effort that stalled out after just two seasons, has hosted some great past and future "Trek" actors.

It's worth noting that this list concerns the best "Star Trek" actors, and as such, there are no guarantees that these talented folks are actually great or even memorable in their "Twilight Zone" appearances. Some certainly are, while others have only the briefest of guest spots in mostly-forgotten episodes.

William Shatner's 5 Best Movies & TV Shows Outside Of Star Trek, Ranked
Image
Canadian actor William Shatner began his professional career in the early 1950s, appearing in an obscure film called "The Butler's Night Off." He worked in theaters, both as a manager and as an actor, in Montreal and Ottawa, and acted in the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in the mid-1950s. He moved to the United States shortly thereafter to pursue a Broadway career, and made ends meet by appearing on an episode of the Canadian version of "The Howdy Doody Show." Shatner racked up dozens of credits in film and on TV throughout the '50s and '60s, appearing in adaptations of "The Brother Karamazov" and "Judgment at Nuremberg" and on notable programs like "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "The Twilight Zone." In 1965, Shatner starred in "Incubus," the only feature film ever made in Esperanto.

Then, in 1966, Shatner landed the lead role in a new science fiction series called "Star Trek.

A Long Forgotten Johnny Depp Thriller Already Proved The Upcoming 24 Movie Can Work
Image
Real time can work on the big screen as demonstrated by Johnny Depp's Nick of Time from 1995. 24 experimented with a movie version with 2008's Redemption. The 24 movie could unfold over one day and have the last act in real time to adapt the show's format.

It appears the 24 movie is finally moving ahead, but those worried about how the concept will fare on the big screen need look no further than a forgotten Johnny Depp thriller. 24's use of real time set it apart from other TV thrillers when it premiered in 2001, with each episode covering an hour in a particularly hectic day in the life of CTU Agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). Later seasons of 24 became more outlandish with the threats Jack faced, but the show was never less than compulsively watchable.

Development on a film version began soon after the original series ended following its...

An Underseen '90s Thriller Features One of Christopher Walken's Best Performances
Image
It's criminal how forgotten the 1995 thriller Nick of Time has become, especially because of Christopher Walken's fantastically diabolical performance as the movie's villain. Walken is one of today's most beloved actors and has been for decades now. He's appeared in more classics than a majority of working actors in both big and small roles, is absolutely fantastic in everything he's in, and has a completely singular approach to acting that no one else has. He can be likable, mysterious, menacing, and of course, absolutely hilarious. Well listen, if Christopher Walken is your guy, and you like every approach to acting that he tends to take, then look no further than Nick of Time. This thriller is a fast-paced, airtight ride that should be experienced not only by those looking for an endlessly entertaining movie but by Christopher Walken fans especially.

Why Disney's Tower Of Terror Imagineers Watched Every Episode Of The Twilight Zone Twice
Image
Disney's Tower of Terror has always felt like a thrilling outlier at any Disney park. Opened in Florida in 1994, the "Twilight Zone"-inspired thrill ride was always a little scarier than the rest of the Mouse House's family-friendly theme park attractions -- in a good way.

California's Tower of Terror may have had its last ride, but the attraction remains a landmark of Disney parks across the world, with additional versions in Tokyo and Paris. As with any Disney ride, a whole lot of thought went into the original planning of the attraction, and in the case of Tower of Terror, Imagineers were actually required to become classic TV binge-watchers. According to the official D23 website, everyone who helped design the Tower of Terror watched all 156 episodes of Rod Serling's seminal anthology series at least twice.

Imagineers looked even closer at certain "Twilight Zone" episodes, studying the music, props,...

The Halloween After Party: November Horror Releases from 1970 to 2023
Image
Who on earth would want to release a horror movie in November?! That’s like showing up to Thanksgiving dinner on a full stomach or going for a jog after a marathon. Surely, studios don’t purposefully plan to release their movie during the four weeks After the entire world is consumed with the dead, dying, maimed and dismembered, right? The calendar says spooky season is over (although you and I know differently) and as the grumpy neighbor in Halloween II says, the general audience has “been trick or treated to death” by October’s end.

On the contrary, November Horror has had some shockingly great runs over the years. And maybe there’s a method to the madness. If horror fans are lucky, October is packed tighter than a Black Friday sale at Target during a live in store Taylor Swift performance. Why not wait a couple of weeks...

Wtf Happened to William Shatner?
Image
Whether you know him as Captain James T. Kirk, Sgt. T.J. Hooker, Denny Crane, or General Mortars from National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon 1, William Shatner is one of entertainment history’s most iconic figures. The Canadian actor is seven decades into his career as a celebrated actor, science-fiction legend, author, musician, and more. His career began in 1951 when he landed a small role in the Canadian comedic drama The Butler’s Night Off. Compared to actors like Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Robert Redford, Shatner continued building his credits on the Broadway stage and performing minor roles in television and film.

Shatner eventually entered the world of science-fiction with a part in two episodes of The Twilight Zone: “Nick of Time,” and “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.” In 1966, Shatner beamed up as the captain of the USS Enterprise, James T. Kirk. When his history-making role ended after three seasons and seventy-nine episodes,...

Grammys flashback: What happened to these artists After they won Album of the Year?
Image
Winning the Grammy for Album of the Year is definitely an achievement. However, perhaps an even bigger achievement is to do well with the Grammys after you win. Indeed, many artists fail to replicate their Grammy success after Album of the Year victories, less due to a “curse” and more due to how hard it is to have multiple culturally impactful eras. To analyze this, let’s consider the follow-up records to every 21st century Album of the Year winner, divided into three categories: the successes, mixed results, and disappointments.

SEEGrammys flashback: In 1990 Bonnie Raitt won Album of the Year just in the ‘Nick of Time’ The Successes

These are follow-ups to Album of the Year winners that managed to win at least one Grammy out of multiple nominations. While most weren’t as successful as their Album of the Year predecessors, they still did well.

Grammys flashback: In 1990 Bonnie Raitt won Album of the Year just in the ‘Nick of Time’
Image
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the 2023 Grammys was hearing Bonnie Raitt’s name called as the winner of the prestigious Song of the Year award for “Just Like That.” While many were shocked at Raitt taking home the award over smash hits by artists like Adele, Harry Styles, and Lizzo, few would consider Raitt undeserving of the prize. This is especially true if you know how important Raitt has been to popular music for decades. But that wasn’t the only general field award she’s won. At the 32nd Grammy Awards, held in 1990, Raitt’s comeback record “Nick of Time” won her three trophies, including Album of the Year over legends like Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Don Henley.

To understand Raitt’s 1990 wins, you need to understand her career leading up to “Nick of Time.” Raitt got her start in the early ’70s, earning praise as one of...

Hijack TV Review
Image
Plot: Told in real time, “Hijack” is a tense thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers.

Review: Idris Elba has proven himself to be a multi-hyphenate powerhouse who can provide voice-over for animated fare, play a superhero, perform action in genres ranging from science fiction to fantasy, and even get some laughs in comedies. Elba is even an experienced DJ. The gun can do no wrong, and while his filmography is jammed with diverse projects, the instant I started watching Hijack, I knew the creative team brought him on board because of his voice. Idris Elba has a presence that few actors are capable of, and that gravitas helps rescue Hijack from being a bust. Told in a real-time approach, Hijack is a tense thriller about a plane...

Every Star Trek Tos Actor Who Appeared On The Twilight Zone
Image
Star Trek and The Twilight Zone are remembered as two of the most iconic TV series of the 1960s, and they also featured many actors who appeared in both. The Twilight Zone began airing in 1959, and it immediately made waves with its anthology-style stories that often included surprise twist endings and strong moral lessons. Like Star Trek, The Twilight Zone was an incredibly progressive sci-fi show, and many of the lessons imparted by the episodes reflected real-world problems. Both series were groundbreaking in their own way and launched ongoing franchises that persisted through the decades including movies and additional TV series.

The anthology style of The Twilight Zone necessitated a slew of actors, and each episode featured an entirely different cast. As such, the best episodes of The Twilight Zone often included guest stars who were some of the greatest 1960s TV actors. The Twilight Zone ended in 1964 and Star Trek...

Grammys Song of the Year predictions: Can Harry Styles stop Adele from steamrolling the competition again?
Image
Honoring songwriters, the Grammy for Song of the Year has gone to everyone from The Beatles to Adele and Childish Gambino. This year, with Grammy darlings and newer artists in the mix, it looks like the race is tighter than ever, even if it will probably go to some familiar faces.

The race seems to be a tossup between the two biggest songs: Adele’s “Easy On Me” and Harry Styles’s “As It Was.” The former’s biggest benefit is that Adele is arguably the most industry-beloved artist making music right now, only losing three Grammys throughout her whole career. “Easy On Me” is also very baity, being a sentimental ballad tailor-made for voters.

SEEBillboard Hot 100: Every #1 song of 2023

The argument against Adele here is that “Easy On Me” is not really an inventive song for the singer and might have faded from memory since its release in the fall of 2021. Plus,...

Along with the Queen standard, other newly added singles include Nat King Cole’s 1961 holiday chestnut “The Christmas Song,” Ricky Martin’s 1999 smash “La Vida Loca,” Andy Williams’ Oscar-winning Henry Mancini-Johnny Murcer song “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the Disneyland Boys Choir’s 1964 earworm “It’s a Small World,” Journey’s 1981 hit “Don’t...

Grammys flashback: Tony Bennett has outlived the nominating committees he helped inspire when he won in 1995
Image
The 1995 Grammys ceremony was one of the most interesting the award show has ever had. Most relevant to this year, it was the last year without nomination review committees. And not coincidentally, it was the year Tony Bennett won Album of the Year for his “MTV Unplugged.” Bennett’s win is an interesting one to ponder, especially as he is now nominated for Album of the Year again for “Love for Sale” with Lady Gaga.

Bennett has always been on the Grammys’ radar. His first wins were at the 5th Grammy Awards, where he took home Record of the Year and Best Male Solo Vocal Performance for “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.” Bennett was a consistent nominee for a couple years after that, but dropped off the awards’ radar for 25 years until in 1991 his album “Astoria: Portrait Of The Artist” became his first nomination since 1966.

Hulu New Releases: January 2022
Hilary Duff, Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tien Tran, and Tom Ainsley in How I Met Your Father (2022)
When you’re a streaming service, there’s only one way to celebrate the New Year. And that’s by IP mining to bring back a franchise that had no business in coming back!

With its list of new releases for January 2022, Hulu is raiding CBS’s closet and premiering How I Met Your Father, a continuation of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. Complaints about unnecessary rebooting aside, perhaps its worth giving the Hillary Duff starring series a chance. If nothing else, telling a story about 2022 from a future perspective might play well.

Aside from Himyf, there aren’t any other Hulu original series to speak of. Instead, Hulu is opting to once again beef up its film library. January 1 sees the arrival of Master and Commander, Seven, and a whole bunch of Star Treks. Hulu will also be the streaming home of some recently released film Indies,...

Pearl Charles Goes Into the Mystic
Image
“Do you remember Limited Too?” Pearl Charles asks. She’s trying to trace just how far back her love of Abba goes, which brings her to the Nineties pre-teen clothing store. “Everything was flower power and bell-bottoms, and I feel like ‘Dancing Queen’ was huge at all the birthday parties. All of that stuff steeped into my brain when I was a little kid, and now it’s all coming out.”

“Only For Tonight,” the opening track to Charles’ recent album Magic Mirror, drips in disco. Its layers of sunny production mask bleak lyrics,...

Johnny Depp Reportedly Willing To Lower His Salary Now For Big Franchise Movies
Following the outcome of his latest court case, industry analysts are forecasting the worst for Johnny Depp‘s career prospects. Having now lost out on Fantastic Beasts as well as Pirates of the Caribbean, the 57 year-old is missing two major sources of income with more legal battles on the horizon against ex-wife Amber Heard.

It may have been his role as Captain Jack Sparrow that rocketed him to the top of the Hollywood A-list and made him the highest-paid actor in the business, but Depp was hardly short of a few pennies before then. As one of the most reliable and acclaimed talents of his generation, he’d been picking up sizeable checks for years, including a $5 million payday for box office dud Nick of Time as far back as 1995.

However, it was the success of Pirates of the Caribbean that launched him into the exclusive eight-figure club and he...

Kuan meun ho (2010)
The James Hunter Six’s ‘Who’s Fooling Who’ Is an Immaculate Throwback
Kuan meun ho (2010)
The James Hunter Six’s “Who’s Fooling Who” feels beamed in from a jukebox circa 1967, when the world was overflowing with simple, devastatingly effective, sub-three-minute soul singles mapping the treacherous terrain of romance: The Sapphires’ “Who Do You Love” and Evie Sands’ “I Can’t Let Go,” Barbara Lewis’ “Hello Stranger” and Brenton Wood’s “Trouble.”

‘Who’s Fooling Who” is suitably spare, mostly a gentle lick on acoustic guitar, maybe a cousin of a bolero or a bossa nova, and a soft tumble of percussion. Hunter’s voice is wonderfully craggy,...

Obviously, we know already that last night the Directors Guild of America gave their top prize to Sam Mendes for 1917, but Saturday evening also saw the American Society of Cinematographers Awards, the Annie Awards, the Cinema Audio Society Awards, and the USC Scripter Awards, in addition to the Directors Guild of America Awards. Asc Awards 2020: Roger Deakins Wins Top Prize for ‘1917’
Roger Deakins at an event for True Grit (2010)
Cinematographer Roger Deakins won the top prize Saturday night at the 34th annual Asc Awards (at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland) for his bravura camera work on “1917,” the continuous-shot, World War I extravaganza, directed by Sam Mendes.

Deakins beat Phedon Papamichael (“Ford v Ferrari”), Rodrigo Prieto (“The Irishman”), Robert Richardson (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”), and Lawrence Sher (“Joker”). The latter three are Oscar-nominated with Deakins. The fifth nominee, Jarin Blaschke (“The Lighthouse”), earned the Asc Spotlight Award for his gritty, Gothic-looking black-and-white cinematography.

Additionally, Fejmi Daut and Samir Ljuma took the Asc Documentary category for “Honeyland.”

Given the Best Picture momentum and universal acclaim for the technical feat, Deakins moves a step closer to his second Oscar. He finally landed his first with “Blade Runner 2049″ after 14 Academy Award nominations. Deakins leads the Asc with five wins.

“1917” is not only the tour de force of the season,...

Musicians on Musicians: Bonnie Raitt & Brandi Carlile
Brandi Carlile
On a recent L.A. afternoon, Brandi Carlile is talking about the moment when everything changed for her. It was the 2019 Grammys, when she played her ballad “The Joke” live and took home three awards. “I was 39, kind of an outlier underdog character,” says Carlile. That week, her sixth album, By the Way, I Forgive You, went to Number 22. She recently sold out Madison Square Garden. “I went on vacation, and never put down my phone,” she says of the award show’s aftermath. “I was obsessed.”

“I’ve been there,...

Farm Aid 2019: 10 Best Things We Saw
Getting 37,000 people to a remote, rural amphitheater in East Troy, Wisconsin, for Farm Aid isn’t hard when the bill features Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Luke Combs, Bonnie Raitt, John Mellencamp, and several other big names. Getting them to stay for 12 hours in a downpour that turned the packed lawn (where the vast majority of people sat) into a sea of mud is much harder. It required a pretty spectacular show, one that left people so stunned they stayed put hour after hour even though most of them couldn’t...

Here’s Everything Coming to and Leaving Hulu in May
Hulu has released its list of all the new content coming May 1 as well as everything that will leave the streaming service at the end of the month.

Highlights include Hulu Originals like “Into The Dark: All That We Destroy,” the show’s eighth episode coming May 3. Hulu describes the show as “A geneticist who fears that her son may be becoming a serial killer creates a group of clones in an attempt to cure him of his psychopathic tendencies by allowing him to relive the murder of his first victim.”

George Clooney’s “Catch-22,” which is on the Joseph Heller novel of the same name arrives mid-month. Per Hulu: “‘Catch-22'” is the story of the incomparable, artful dodger, Yossarian, a Us Air Force bombardier in World War II who is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him.” The show stars Kyle Chandler,...

The Twilight Zone: La quatrième dimension (2019)
‘The Twilight Zone’ Director Gerard McMurray Recreates the Horror of ‘Driving While Black’ in America
The Twilight Zone: La quatrième dimension (2019)
[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from “The Twilight Zone” Season 1, Episode 3, “Replay.”]

Over and over again, black motorists in America have been victims of the racial profiling and now this act has been brought to terrifying life on “The Twilight Zone.” In the latest episode “Replay,” director Gerard McMurray takes on that real-life recurring nightmare and dramatizes it through a camcorder that literally rewinds time.

Interpreting the black experience through the lens of horror brings to mind Peele’s directorial debut “Get Out,” which McMurray acknowledge is a fair comparison.

“It’s in the same universe for sure in a lot of ways, but it’s just across the universe,” he told IndieWire. “Ours pushes the boundaries in that it’s more pointed. We replay this over and over so you can understand this stuff happens in the real world, which we see replayed and replayed over and over again. I felt we made it more personal,...

Extended Trailer for Jordan Peele's The Twilight Zone Teases Several Episodes
We’ve got a new extended trailer for you to watch for Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone. While I liked what I saw in the promo spots for "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet" and "The Comedian," this new trailer offers us a look at all the other episodes that the first season of the new series will entail. Personally, I like what I’m seeing!

The Twilight Zone is one of the greatest shows ever created, and while this revival won’t be as good as the original, it still looks like a solid series that will entertain and tell some interesting stories. I’m curious to see how this turns out.

You’ll also see many of the cast members in the series that includes Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, Seth Rogen, John Cho, Ike Barinholtz, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman,...

First Full Trailer and Poster for Jordan Peele's The Twilight Zone - "What Dimension Are You Even In?"
CBS All Access has just dropped the first full trailer for Jordan Peele’s highly anticipated revival of The Twilight Zone. This gives us our first real look at the stories that will be told in the first season. It actually looks like it’s going to be pretty good!

As you’ll see, they’ve made some pretty significant changes to some of the original episodes that are being remade. There are also a few little Easter eggs to keep a look our for as you watch the trailer because there are some things that you’ll recognize.

The new series is described as an anthology that will tell self-contained stories in every episode. Also, like its predecessors, it will lean on science fiction, fantasy, and horror to tell tales laced with social commentary.
