On March 13, Netflix released arguably the best show that the streaming platform, and the world, for that matter, has seen in years. The crime miniseries Adolescence consists of four one-take episodes, which is an insane achievement in itself, but it also marks the debut of an incredible young actor. 15-year-old English actor, Owen Cooper, had his breakthrough role in director Philip Barantini’s Adolescence, portraying the role of Jamie Miller. Exploring the shocking reasons and chilling consequences when a young teenager murders another, Adolescence dives into each tiny detail of a family’s biggest nightmare.
All the actors attached to this project certainly did an outstanding job, making Adolescence the powerful series that it is, but Cooper’s performance stands out particularly. Numerous eerie moments make it impossible to believe that the actor is still only a teenager, but these points in the series bring back memories of one of the biggest Hollywood stars,...

7th Heaven actor Jeremy London comes to the defense of Stephen Collins in Hollywood Demons, an Investigation Discovery series premiering Monday that promises to “focus on different scandals and tragedies” in Tinseltown.
The first episode of the six-episode series focuses on Collins, who admitted back in 2014 that he sexually assaulted three underaged girls but was never charged. London, who played a minister on the drama that aired on the WB and CW from 1996 to 2007, spoke to ID about his memories working with the actor.
“What I noticed about Stephen Collins working with young girls and extras is that I never noticed a damn thing about Stephen Collins working with young girls and extras,” said London. “He never crossed any lines of any kind.”
London joined 7th Heaven for the seventh and eighth seasons to play Chandler Hampton, a young minister who temporarily fills in for Collins’ Reverend Eric Camden.

The first documentary about the legal saga between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will premiere on Monday in the U.K., according to multiple media reports. “He Said, She Said” comes from ITN Productions.
The 90-minute cut of the doc will premiere on Channel 5 on Monday. As for the project’s U.S. premiere, a condensed 60-minute version of the project has been acquired by Investigation Discovery. That version is set to air on March 31 on ID and will be available to stream on both Max and Discovery+.
It’s unlikely that this will be the last documentary that will examine this particular Hollywood feud. The “It Ends With Us” drama started in December of 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, accusing the director of sexual harassment and intimidation. As part of that lawsuit, Lively accused Baldoni’s camp of creating a smear campaign against her,...

From riveting detective series to stirring crime dramas to thrilling plots about unruly outlaws, the theme of crime in anime comes in many different forms and configurations. Nonetheless, it’s impossible to deny that, whether one wants to see lawbreakers wreak havoc or get punished for their wrongdoings, crime anime has a tantalizing appeal.
The crime anime subgenre is hardly homogenous — commonly, it goes hand-in-hand with mystery and suspense, yet just as frequently combines with other classic anime themes, like science fiction, fantasy, and action-adventure. What brings these multifaceted series together is the exhilaration of their enigmas and unpredictable plots that tackle the darkest, most conniving deeds unraveling on the wrong side of the law. These anime series approach the crime theme in a divergent plentitude of ways — yet all of them do so faultlessly.

Let’s be honest, when Jeff Kaplan announced his departure from Activision Blizzard, everyone was shocked. His decision to leave the company immediately rang the bells for Overwatch 2, but Kaplan assured everyone that Aaron Keller was the man for the job.

While we all love Kaplan for his work as a lead designer and game director in Overwatch 2, he was hired by Blizzard after being noted for his work for the EverQuest community. Without him, the company wouldn’t have become the gaming giant it is today. However, Kaplan wasn’t even familiar with Blizzard before joining its ranks.

Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy) stars as a mom who begins to believe her adopted daughter is not the young girl she’s claiming to be in the trailer for Hulu’s Good American Family. If the setup sounds familiar it’s because the limited series is inspired by the story of Natalia Grace, which has been told multiple times, most recently in ID’s The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.
In addition to Ellen Pompeo, Mark Duplass and Imogen Faith Reid star and Dulé Hill, Christina Hendricks, Sarayu Blue and Jenny O’Hara are recurring guest stars.
“Told from multiple points of view, as a means to explore issues of perspective, bias, and trauma, this compelling drama is inspired by the disturbing stories surrounding a Midwestern couple who adopts a girl with a rare form of dwarfism. But as they begin to raise her alongside their three biological children, mystery emerges around her age and background,...

Accused murderer Karen Read finally tells her own story in the trailer for Investigation Discovery’s forthcoming docuseries A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read, which dropped on Wednesday.
“So, did you drive your car into John?” a director for the ID and Max docuseries asks Read directly as she talks ahead of an upcoming 2025 retrial.
Who rammed their car into Boston police officer John O’Keefe was central to the first trial for Read, who was accused of driving over her boyfriend on a wintry morning in January 2022. She was charged with his murder; her 2024 trial ended in a mistrial.
The docuseries, to debut on ID over three nights from March 17 to March 19, has Read maintaining her innocence with her defense alleging she was framed to protect fellow police officers involved in O’Keefe’s death.

Accused murderer Karen Read and her lawyers are set to feature front and center in Investigation Discovery’s docuseries A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read.
ID’s latest true crime deep dive follows Read’s initial 2024 murder trial ending in a mistrial, and comes before a 2025 re-trial later this year. The ID and Max series will revisit the case of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe being found dead on a snowy morning in January 2022, and his girlfriend, Read, being charged in his murder.
During the first trial on vehicular homicide and manslaughter charges, prosecutors alleged Read backed her car into O’Keefe and ran him over in a fit of passion, and then left him to die in the snow. Read claimed her innocence and her lawyers alleged something far more nefarious, including an elaborate law enforcement coverup, was at play.

Sean “Diddy” Combs Insiders, Survivors Share Terrifying Stories in ID Docuseries: “This Man Is Sick”
While rap world star Sean “Diddy” Combs long preferred to be seen by his fans as a hustling music and fashion mogul known for glitzy parties and entourages, various victims who remained silent out of fear of retribution say they long saw him as a bullying, dangerous and unaccountable king of hip hop’s underbelly since the 1990s.
That is, until Combs’ arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in September 2024.
The new Investigation Discovery docuseries The Fall of Diddy has drawn from Combs’ inner circle and apparent survivors to offer up a series of allegations of assault, abuse and violence at the hands of the billionaire music and fashion mogul. Those claims about violent behavior and illegal activity against Combs come as he sits behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and awaits his trial.
“There’s a lot of people like Puffy in this music business.

This post contains spoilers from Prime Target episode 2 from this point forward.
Following the shocking reveal of Professor Mallinder's death at the end of episode 1, Prime Target takes us to the seaside in France to catch up with the person on the other side of the hidden cameras and the computer screens: Nsa agent Taylah (Quintessa Swindell). It's the second point of view the show needed to let us in on, and doing so reveals a second layer of captivating mystery.
Elsewhere in the second episode of the new Apple TV+ thriller series, Ed and others are left reeling in the wake of Mallinder's death, with Professor Lavin no longer wanting to pursue the dig in Baghdad. Thankfully, she's one of the few people who still believes Ed and listens to his theories. But as Ed continues to push for his research, he uncovers more details that leave him looking over his shoulder.

Any football fan, true crime aficionado or news junkie knows the story of Aaron Hernandez, the prodigiously gifted NFL star who was found guilty of murder and then hung himself in prison. Much less famous are two of his former teammates at Bristol Central High School in Connecticut, Nick Brutcher and Alex Ryng. Like Hernandez, they often led with their helmets, racking up hits and concussions on the field and leading increasingly troubled lives off of it. And, in a tragic defiance of statistical probability, they, too, committed murder. That...

Peacock isn’t the first out of the gate with a nonfiction project about the charges facing Sean “Diddy” Combs — that would be the ever-nimble TMZ, which released a special in April 2024 that was soon followed by others from 20/20 and Nightline.
But the NBCUniversal-owned streamer still made a splash on Thursday with the trailer for its upcoming Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy. The 90-minute documentary special, set for Jan. 14, promises to dig deep into the explosive claims Combs is facing, tracing the musician and entrepreneur’s rise to power and featuring insiders like Al B. Why was Dave Franco trending across multiple social media platforms?
Because he’s a good-looking actor with Italian-American features and thick eyebrows.
And because that set of features also happens to describe Luigi Mangione, the accused UnitedHealth CEO assassin.
Because this story has become so controversial, there are those who are already planning the biopic of Mangione. Most are half-joking about Franco playing him in such a film.
But he’s not the only famous figure who’s become part of the jokes.

Billie Eilish is not exactly proud of how much she uses social media.
The Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter was recently asked in an interview with Complex about her current relationship with social media, given that she has been open about having mixed feelings regarding her personal life on social platforms in the past.
“Yeah, I’m off that shit,” she said of X (formerly Twitter), adding that she also “went off of Instagram and TikTok a couple of months ago, which was awesome.”
However, being off social media has been difficult for the “Birds of a Feather” artist while also being on her world tour, in support of her latest Hit Me Hard and Soft album.
“I went on tour, and the issue is, I really love to interact with the fans when I’m on tour,” Eilish explained. “I love seeing all the videos and all the angles. I...

Fresh off the back of the runaway success of Quiet on Set, the boss of Investigation Discovery (ID) has said the network is matching streamers on true crime budgets.
Jason Sarlanis, who runs the Warner Bros. Discovery network, recalled a time when “Netflix was aggressively over-paying” in the true crime space, noting that “they would be the first to admit they wanted to dominate in the space.”
But he said ID is these days willing to match on spend. “With [David] Zaslav behind us we are told, ‘You need to get hits don’t let money get in the way,’ so we have been going toe to toe with every streamer in competitive bidding situations,” Sarlanis told Content London.
At the same time, he said ID’s deep-seated knowledge and experience in the space has allowed the channel to “find gems” that the streamers aren’t chasing.

Former Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider, the subject of the Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, has been given the green light to proceed with his defamation suit against Warner Bros. Discovery and the docuseries’ producers.
Judge Ashfaq G. Chowdhury of the Los Angeles Superior Court, in a Nov. 22 ruling obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, dismissed a bid by Wbd and Maxine Productions to have the lawsuit tossed out. The court ruling argued “this is manifestly not a case brought by Schneider on frivolous grounds, simply to harass defendants. He’s suing defendants about a documentary they made about him, that focuses on his activities, and, which a reasonable viewer might conclude makes damning implications about his conduct.”

Investigation Discovery will finish The Curious Case of Natalia Grace‘s trilogy in January with a “long-awaited conclusion” titled The Final Chapter.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter will pick up just after the bombshell finale of Natalia Speaks, released in January 2024, when audiences learned that Natalia’s allegedly happy conclusion with her new family — Bishop Antwon Mans and his wife Cynthia — was all a lie. The episode ended with a phone call from Antwon alleging that “something ain’t right with Natalia” and that “this girl is tweakin’. I feel like she’s the enemy of the house. And she said to us we have held her hostage.”

An anonymous Chris Brown assault accuser identified as Jane Doe claims the rap star drugged and raped her on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ yacht in December 2020.
The allegation was made in Investigation Discovery’s Chris Brown: A History of Violence that premiered Sunday night on the true-crime network. The documentary explored Brown’s years of alleged offstage aggression, including intimate-partner violence, assault charges and sexual assault allegations that first came to light in 2009 when the star rapper pled guilty to a felony charge of physically assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna.
The ID doc provides graphic accounts of the assault by Brown on Rihanna while he drove a sports car and she was in the passenger seat. “He’s driving, punching her in the left eye with his right fist as he drives with his left hand, and this goes on for blocks,” retired Los Angeles Police Department sergeant and author Cheryl Dorsey...

Investigation Discovery documentary Chris Brown: A History of Violence recalls the rap star going overnight from teen sensation to suspected serial abuser after assaulting Rihanna in 2009.
Despite pleading guilty to one count of felony assault over the attack on Rihanna, Brown has still been celebrated throughout his career, with the doc arguing that the singer has mostly gotten a free pass from the music industry and his fanbase even as accusations of physical and sexual assault and legal troubles persist.
Now, with the doc set to premiere on Sunday night at 9 p.m. Et, ID president Jason Salarnis describes the true-crime network’s piece as being about a troubled pop star and how his legacy of alleged threats and violence shown towards women offers key red flags to viewers, so they can recognize domestic abuse in their own lives.
