7th Heaven actor Jeremy London comes to the defense of Stephen Collins in Hollywood Demons, an Investigation Discovery series premiering Monday that promises to “focus on different scandals and tragedies” in Tinseltown.

The first episode of the six-episode series focuses on Collins, who admitted back in 2014 that he sexually assaulted three underaged girls but was never charged. London, who played a minister on the drama that aired on the WB and CW from 1996 to 2007, spoke to ID about his memories working with the actor.

The first documentary about the legal saga between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will premiere on Monday in the U.K., according to multiple media reports. “He Said, She Said” comes from ITN Productions.

“So, did you drive your car into John?” a director for the ID and Max docuseries asks Read directly as she talks ahead of an upcoming 2025 retrial.

Who rammed their car into Boston police officer John O’Keefe was central to the first trial for Read, who was accused of driving over her boyfriend on a wintry morning in January 2022. She was charged with his murder; her 2024 trial ended in a mistrial.

The docuseries, to debut on ID over three nights from March 17 to March 19, has Read maintaining her innocence with her defense alleging she was framed to protect fellow police officers involved in O’Keefe’s death.

ID’s latest true crime deep dive follows Read’s initial 2024 murder trial ending in a mistrial, and comes before a 2025 re-trial later this year. The ID and Max series will revisit the case of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe being found dead on a snowy morning in January 2022, and his girlfriend, Read, being charged in his murder.

During the first trial on vehicular homicide and manslaughter charges, prosecutors alleged Read backed her car into O’Keefe and ran him over in a fit of passion, and then left him to die in the snow. Read claimed her innocence and her lawyers alleged something far more nefarious, including an elaborate law enforcement coverup, was at play.

Fresh off the back of the runaway success of Quiet on Set, the boss of Investigation Discovery (ID) has said the network is matching streamers on true crime budgets.

Jason Sarlanis, who runs the Warner Bros. Discovery network, recalled a time when “Netflix was aggressively over-paying” in the true crime space, noting that “they would be the first to admit they wanted to dominate in the space.”

But he said ID is these days willing to match on spend. “With [David] Zaslav behind us we are told, ‘You need to get hits don’t let money get in the way,’ so we have been going toe to toe with every streamer in competitive bidding situations,” Sarlanis told Content London.

At the same time, he said ID’s deep-seated knowledge and experience in the space has allowed the channel to “find gems” that the streamers aren’t chasing.

A two-hour special on the downfall of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez will kick off the new season of ID’s football-themed true crime series “Murder Under the Friday Night Lights.”

“Aaron Hernandez and the Untold Murders of Bristol” will premiere Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. Et/Pt, ID president Jason Sarlanis announced during his panel at Content London on Thursday. New episodes of “Murder Under the Friday Night Lights” will then follow Wednesdays starting Jan. 15.

Judge Ashfaq G. Chowdhury of the Los Angeles Superior Court, in a Nov. 22 ruling obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, dismissed a bid by Wbd and Maxine Productions to have the lawsuit tossed out. The court ruling argued “this is manifestly not a case brought by Schneider on frivolous grounds, simply to harass defendants. He’s suing defendants about a documentary they made about him, that focuses on his activities, and, which a reasonable viewer might conclude makes damning implications about his conduct.”
