    Well Executed....

Gunehgar Directed By Vikram Bhatt is A Romantic Action Drama With The Backdrop Of A Patriotic Theme. Sceenplay & Script is Well Written, Execution By Bhatt is Quite Good. Action & Dialogues Are Awesome. Editing & Cinematography Could Have Been Better. Music is Plus.

Habibulla(Kiran Kumar) And His Brother, Munna(Vishwajeet Pradhan), With Few Others Are Militant Who Have Taken upon Themselves To Free Kashmir From India's Clutches. They Run A Terrorist Organization. Their Only Major Obstacle is D.I.G. Ajay Thakur(Mithun Chakraborty). He Has A Journalist Sister, Pooja(Pooja Bhatt), Who Befriends Rohit(Atul Agnihotri), And They Fall in Love. Unknown To Pooja, Rohit Has Links To Habibullah's Gang And has Instructions To Abduct Her. Now Habibullah Appoints Few Members From His Group Lead By Noora(Mahavir Shah) To Kill The C.M While Doing The Same They Barricade Themselves in A Mosque, Ajay Thakur With No Violence Waits Outside For Them.

Acting Wise Mithun Chakraborty & Kiran Kumar Did Well. Pooja Bhatt is Praiseworthy In Few Patriotic Scenes. Atul Agnihotri is Asual. Mahavir Shah, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Mushtaq Khan Are Good Support. Tisca Chopra(Priya Arora) Has Cameo.

Music is Awesome By Annu Malik. "Kehdo Kehdo Kehdo Na" By Kumar Sanu & Sadhana is My Favorite Romantic Track. "Dil Hua Beqaraar" & "Mere Ho Tum" By Kumar Sanu & Alka Are Slow Romantic Tracks."Rain is Falling" By Sudesh Bhosle is One Of The Popular Track.

Overall A Well Made Movie. Must Watch For Mithun Fans.

    A Well-Made Film from 1995....

Vikram Bhatt's 'Guneghar' is a well-made, well-written film. Bhatt has made a few good films, and 'Guneghar' is one of them.

The film has a interesting plot, which has been executed well. Bhatt's writing is well-done, his direction is high-class.

The film has memorable songs like 'Rain Is Falling', 'Roote Ga Rab Toh & 'Keh Do Keh Do Na'. The Cinematography is also top-notch.

Performance wise: Mithun is excellent. He carries the film on his shoulders. Pooja Bhatt is superb, as always. Atul is good. Kiran Kumar is commendable as the calculative/conniving terrorist. Vishwajeet Pradhan is convincing as Kumar's brother. Tisca Chopra is okay in a guest appearance.

On the whole 'Guneghar' is a must watch. Thumbs Up!

    • Trivia
Maan Singh Deep and his wife Kalyani were initially trade publicist. They later became co producers with Rajeev Kumar and produced Kranti Kshetra. During the making of Tirangaa they met Harish and took him under their wing. Maan Singh became his secretary. Harish then moved in with them. Maan Singh claimed that Harish needed to live with them because it was hard for producers to meet him since his house was in Madras.. So having a place in Bombay would help him get films. Maan Singh claims he got Harish films like Krantiveer. They signed Harish for their home production Gunehgaar, after splitting with Rajeev Kumar. One day Maan Singh Deep had a major falling out with Rajeev Kumar over money matters. Rajeev then proceeded to repeat private information that was said inside the household of Maan Singh Deep. They realized it was Harish who went and told Rajeev all the private information. They went back home and kicked out Harish out of their house. They then signed Atul Agnihothri for the film. Maan Singh claimed he groomed Harish and taught him everything about being actor. Harish claimed that Maan Singh Deep kept taking money from him for everything. He was paying for all his houses expenses. Harish stated that Maan Singh would keep charging his producers extra money. Maan Singh Deep even tried to make Harish sign a contract stating he would 25% of his salary to him and the other 25% to his wife for the rest of his life. If they were to pass away, his salary would go to their children. Maan Singh denied all of this stating he only took his wages as a secretary and was helping Harish become a big star. Harish had enough and walked out.
