Take a few high-performance cars, add a couple dozen guns and grenades, toss in some incredibly lethal bounty hunters for good measure, and screw the lid on tightly. Give it all a good shake and open it up for an incredibly explosive and exhilarating time. Action is fundamentally an easy genre to create: guns, big booms, and plenty of fist fights are usually the bare necessities for a by-the-numbers action romp. To get action right, however, is a bit harder. Have you ever experienced a melting pot of design choices so unique that you can’t help but love the final result despite some glaring flaws? That’s how I felt while playing Wanted: Dead. Nb: The pitch video for Why Horror contains some gory scenes which some bosses might describe as Not Safe For Work. Just thought we'd let you know.
We may have overshot Halloween by 24 hours, but that hasn't stopped us including a couple of horror-themed projects in this week's crowdfunding selection. A low-budget film which will see Gordon reunite with the great Jeffrey Combs for an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's immortal poem, Nevermore still has a way to go before it hits its $375,000 goal - but if there's a last-minute swell of support, Nevermore...
