Familie Heinz Becker

10/10

Funny, with a very sensitive sens of humor, but not very interesting for those who don't speak German

Heinz Becker's family consists of his wife Hilde and his 19 (later 16) years old son Stefan. They life in a small town called Bexbach (which really exists) in the German state Saarland. In this area people speak a very strange dialect, which sounds, for German-speakers from other regions, a little bit funny. In every episode, the family is having a new adventure, because the father is bullheaded and thinks he can do anything, but fails and annoys everybody: "ES WIRD NEDD UM FUENF VOR UND AU NET FUENF NOCH ZWELF GESS, SONDERN PUNKT ZWELF." "we haven't lunch five to twelve and not five past twelve but point twelve o'clock". His wife, she's a little bit silly and don't understand much, and is a amazed by the British royal family: The son is going on a trip to England and she is saying "DR BUB GOHD IN DESS LAND WO DIE KEENICHE SINN." "The boy is going to that country where the kings are...". The son seems to be the most intelligent of the whole family but is always involved to the Spiessbuerger/square head-family's problems. In one scene he demands for a match to pull something out of his teeth, the father says: "SEID WANN RAACHSCHN DU? (Since when do you smoke?) The son : "ISCH RAACH DOCH NEDD." (I don't smoke)... The aim of this series is to show everyone his little square head

Crappy show - cheap and boring

This show is probably part of the worst time in German television, cheap and boring. The characters are not believable, the jokes are very, very bad. Not funny at all. Worst part of this three-man-comedy piece is the geek-like son, portrayed as a normal youth of his time. The father is a mediocre German comedian, the mother is portrayed by some talentless women. When i first saw this ...thing... i fellt ill for about three days. Overall not watchable - don't waste your time on this very, very awful piece of German public service broadcasting. Go plant a tree. Or read a book. Do not watch this show! You will feel terrible.
