Baroness Unveil Thrilling New Song “Shine,” Add More Support Acts to Stacked Tour Bill

Baroness have unveiled a new song from their upcoming album, Stone. The track “Shine” is the third tune released from the LP in advance of its September 15th release.

“Shine” starts out with a quiet minute-long instrumental intro before singer-guitarists John Baizley and Gina Gleason kick the song into high gear with their dueling vocals and mighty riffs, as bassist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson provide a powerful rhythm section. The six-and-a-half minute track takes the listener on a thrilling journey that’s both heavy and melodic.

The new tune marks the final preview song released ahead of Stone‘s arrival. It follows previous singles “Last Word” and “Beneath the Rose.”

Welcome to the Hammer Factory. This month we dissect Demons of the Mind (1972).

While Hammer Studios has been in business since 1934, it was between 1955 and 1979 that it towered as one of the premier sources of edgy, gothic horror. On top of ushering the famous monsters of Universal’s horror heyday back into the public eye, resurrecting the likes of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Mummy in vivid color, the studio invited performers like Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Ingrid Pitt and so many more to step into the genre limelight. Spanning a library housing over 300 films, Hammer Studios is a key part of horror history that until recently has been far too difficult to track down.

Meredith Hagner To Star In Dark Comedy ‘Girlshow’ In Works At Hulu From Sally Bradford McKenna & Dakota Johnson

Exclusive: Hulu is developing Girlshow, from Sally Bradford McKenna (Son Of Zorn) and Ro Donnelly and Dakota Johnson’s TeaTime Pictures, with Search Party alumna Meredith Hagner attached to star. Boat Rocker, which has a stake in TeaTime, produces through its first-look deal with the production company.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for the project, described as a dark comedy, which will be written and executive produced by McKenna.

Donnelly and Johnson executive produce for TeaTime, along with Oly Obst for 3 Arts.

Hagner is known for her role as Portia Davenport on all five seasons of Search Party. She most recently voiced Mora in Disenchantment and will next be seen starring in Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey. Hagner is repped by UTA, Suskin/Karshan Management and Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson McGinnis Ryan.
