Pleasure-Adrian Dunbar-Jennifer Ehle

When I saw this little gem of a movie, I was sure it would feature in all the actors' CVs from then on. To the contrary, it has not been heard of since. I felt this film deserves a gold star for being British and being a refreshing change from the drab awful stuff we have from the USA. The script was 1st class, the idea superb and the acting without fault. My compliments to the two stars and the writers. The fairground scenes were romantic and soulful, the scene where Adrian Dunbar loses his plastic ducks down the drain and ferrets for them under the sidewalk was hilarious. There is hilarity, dark humour, pathos and raw tummy chuckling humour in exactly the right mixture. A gateaux of a film - Enjoy. My view is that all the best stuff (Four Weddings and a Funeral is an example) comes from the UK and Europe. This is a cracker and should be available on DVD. Regards to all - CW

I could watch this again and again.

What a role jennifer ehle had. She played everything going from a wifely frump to a sexpot, a prostitue, a spy and an avenging angel. She was amazing in this. I bought this tv film along with Self Catering. I wasn't disappointed.
