However, Pratap saved the life of Atul and was adopted by Atul's father, chawl owner Laxmi Das. Growing up, Pratap taught the ones around him to be independent, occasionally clashing with the honest journalist Megha Dixit to comical exchanges. It's only when the ruthless crime lord Chatur Singh sets his eyes on the chawl for his immoral deeds that Pratap, Atul and Megha join hands, on the way dealing with crooked politicians, shady businessmen and corrupt government officials.—ankit-singh92
