This film is so magical that it pulled me right in. I believe it it is the first dance film I have watched. The story is told in the voice of a small boy and the movement of the dancers themselves. Very poetic, very magical, very beautiful, yet easy, even for non-art film fans to watch.
This film was positively breathtaking. I caught it on TV a few years back and I remember being completely seduced by the cinematography and choreography. It is an experimental film.. more of a performance piece than a "movie". It is rich in dance, character, story, and culture. I've been trying to find a copy of it for purchase ever since I saw it, but I've been unsuccessful. Very highly recommended.
