    Pure love and dirty war

During World War One, in France, a young soldier falls deeply in love with a young teacher, while he is on rehabilitation. But he gets back to the front, doing his duty. Simple but warm story, like director Jean-Loup Hubert always do in his very honest way. Realistic scenes of war: it's very dirty! Mud everywhere ! To make a contrast, the love scenes seems very pure. Very very good work by all the actors, with moving Clotilde Coureau in the star role of Marthe. Good quality film !
