After Korea, Philippines media giant Abs-cbn is positioning itself as the next potential purveyor of hit Asian entertainment, building on the international box office success of “Hello, Love, Again.”
The strategy appears to be working. “Hello, Love, Again” recently shattered records, becoming the first Filipino film to gross over PHP1 billion ($17 million) worldwide. The film secured the widest international theatrical release for a Filipino production to date, reaching over 1,330 screens across 40 countries. Its box office total now stands at $24 million as the rollout continues.
“What we want to export or highlight to the rest of the world is what makes the Filipinos great as a people,” says Kriz Gazmen, head of Abs-cbn Films. “We’re very big on our love stories. We’re very proud of our love stories, and I think that’s a very good entry way for us to the global market.”

NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 6, "Incognito" makes repeated references to being "in a box." It wants to be an episode about how difficult it is for Lala Dominguez to be a woman and an Nis agent in 1991. Unfortunately, that story doesn't play as well in 2024. And underneath that is a much stronger premise that never gets out.
"Incognito" is supposed to be about the murder of a petty officer who had stolen classified material from his office. But the case of the week is largely window dressing, as the episode focuses firstly on Lala's personal struggles, and then on Leroy Jethro Gibbs going undercover for the first time. Only one of these ideas completely gets off the ground. The plot has good intentions, but it doesn't deliver any real results.

NCIS: Origins was a fascinating proposition for NCIS fans. It was the first prequel series in the history of the franchise, and it was an opportunity to bring Leroy Jethro Gibbs back into the fold after he left in NCIS season 19.
It's worked out pretty well so far. Not only have fans responded to the 1991 period setting, and the new cast of characters, but they have embraced Austin Stowell's performance as Gibbs, after Mark Harmon played the role for two decades.
David J. North claims Origins is in for the 'long haul' “One Flew Over” – Nis investigates the murder of a dementia-afflicted Jane Doe. Also, flashbacks reveal the first time Gibbs met Franks, on NCIS: Origins, Monday, Nov. 25 on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+*. Pictured (L-r): Kyle Schmid as Mike Franks and Austin Stowell as Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

One of these days, we will make it through an episode of NCIS: Origins without tearing up. Until that day, keep your Kleenex auto-delivery going.
Holy crap, that was quite the deep dive into parts of Randy previously unknown. Is it me, or does every Nis team member seem to be struggling with one personal issue after another?
NCIS: Origins has a firm grip on emotionally intelligent tough guys. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many gun-toting male characters cry, and I love it.

In all seriousness, NCIS: Origins is knocking it out of the park in the storytelling department.
While some viewers don’t think the series feels like an NCIS series, everyone agrees it’s still a great show.

If there is one thing NCIS: Origins knows how to get right, it’s an emotional journey filled with tears and fears. No character on the show is safe from development. We just hope the show picks up the pace a little.
One of the main concerns viewers have for the premiere season is that Special Agent Lala Dominguez needs to be developed and utilized correctly.
Considering how well NCIS: Origins has done developing Gibbs, Franks, and even Randy, I’d have to agree with that assessment of Lala.

Warning! This article contains spoilers for NCIS: Origins episode 6, "Incognito."NCIS: Origins has revealed that Mike Franks went back on his word in NCIS in an amusing change of character. In NCIS: Origins, Franks is the leading Special Agent of Nis and the direct superior officer to Gibbs. He is also instrumental in forming the newbie's future NCIS career, which is helped by the fact that Franks has a soft spot for Gibbs and refers to him as "probie," a reference to his probational status with the team. As established in the flagship, Franks will also act as a strong mentor for Gibbs throughout the NCIS spinoff.
While NCIS: Origins episode 6 featured less of Franks than usual, the episode did reveal valuable information about his character. While investigating a murder, the Nis team learn that the victim had stolen secret military information and was planning on selling it to a high bidder.

Spoiler Alert for NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 6, "Incognito"CBS devastated NCIS: Hawai'i fans when it canceled the series in 2024, and the network just made things worse five months later. NCIS: Hawai'i's cancelation ahead of season 4 shocked fans and cast members, as it showed no signs of slowing down, especially with its high ratings. There are many reasons why NCIS: Hawai'i's cancelation was a mistake, but despite the calls for the network to walk back on its decision to pull the plug on it, CBS stuck to its choice.
The cast of NCIS: Hawai'i comprised incredible diversity, which is one of the reasons that its cancelation was a massive loss for the franchise. While many CBS shows feature a diverse cast, NCIS: Hawai'i brought diversity to a TV universe where representation hasn't been great, as it focused on the United States military and government operations. Warning! Spoilers ahead for NCIS: Origins episode 6, "Incognito."The beginning of Gibbs and Lala's romantic relationship was practically all but confirmed in NCIS: Origins episode 6. The NCIS spinoff has introduced Lala Dominguez to NCIS' growing universe and, by doing so, has also introduced Gibbs' first love interest, following his late wife. Lala, played by Mariel Molino, is one of Gibbs' colleagues at Nis, and the two seemingly get closer than ever in the latest NCIS: Origins episode.
Since the NCIS: Origins pilot, Gibbs and Lala have been off to a rocky start, with Gibbs questioning Lala's commands and Lala questioning Gibbs' actions. However, the two have slowly started to develop a trusting relationship with each other. As partners in the field, they are learning to adapt to their strengths and grow as a team. Regardless, they are still hesitant towards one another, especially since Gibbs is new to the job.

NCIS Begins Solving Its Oldest Plot Hole By Secretly Introducing A Fan-Favorite Character In Origins
Warning! Spoilers ahead for NCIS: Origins episode 6, "Incognito."
This article mentions suicide.
Amid the complicated case in NCIS: Origins episode 6, "Incognito," it also solves the franchise's oldest plot hole with the introduction of a fan-favorite character. CBS' latest expansion series from the NCIS universe tackles Leroy Jethro Gibbs' first years in the agency. The cast is a mix of familiar faces, such as Mike Franks and Vera Strickland, as well as new ones, including Lala Dominguez and Randy Randolf. While it can't bring in the majority of Gibbs' McRt agents because of where it sits in the timeline, it can explore the secret history of some of his oldest relationships.
True to its revelation about NCIS: Origins centering on Lala's untold story, "Incognito" highlights her struggles maintaining her place as a capable agent in a man-dominated field. It also doesn't help that Franks tends to be misogynistic something that...

In the sixth episode, “Incognito,” CBS’s prequel show “NCIS: Origins” continues to reveal Special Agent Lala Dominguez’s mysterious past. The episode gives fans a deep look into her professional and personal problems.
The episode, which stars Mariel Molino as Dominguez, shows how hard it was for her to start her job in the Naval Investigative Service, which is mostly made up of men. The story is mostly about her relationship with a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, which shows a more complicated link with each book.
In a recent interview, Molino said, “Her feelings for Gibbs are getting stronger.” “It’s evolving in a lovely way because it comes from a place of protection and truly wanting to have Gibbs’ back.”
Gina Lucita Monreal, who helped make the show, revealed that Dominguez’s story is the main mystery. “The big question is what happened to her,” Monreal said. We...

The CBS prequel series went undercover with Monday’s new episode, titled “Incognito,” while also putting the spotlight on the female Nis special agent played by Mariel Molino. It’s been established that Lala developed a special bond with Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) at this time in his life, but this hour focused on her mindset while navigating the toxic boys’ club within her workplace and feeling uneasy at home.
“With what we’ve filmed so far, her feelings toward Gibbs are starting to really get deeper, and that starts to get scarier for her,” Molino told TheWrap about what’s to come. “But it is evolving in a really lovely way because it’s coming...

How do you take an already ridiculously attractive cast like the stars of NCIS: Origins and make them even shinier? Throw them into formal wear and send them out for a night on the town.
That’s what “Incognito” is serving viewers in its promo. However, the main thing to take away is the clear spotlight on Special Agent Lala Dominguez.
Since the start of NCIS: Origins, fans have been eagerly awaiting to see when Lala and Gibbs’s stories would, shall we say, entangle. Her character also hasn’t been developed nearly as much as others.
(Erik Voake/CBS)
Hopefully, now halfway through the premiere season of NCIS: Origins, the writers will connect the dots and explain how this is also “the story of her.” I can still hear Mark Harmon.

The Boys became a huge success thanks to its very R-rated take on superheroes, but it isnt the only property out there that shows the ugly side of the capes-and-tights crowd. Incognito is the perfect series to read for fans who have finished The Boys and are eager for more superhero stories with an ultraviolent edge.
Coming from the acclaimed creative team of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, Incognito tells the story of henchman Zack Overkill, who is placed in witness protection after informing on his supervillain boss. Similar to the creative teams earlier work Sleeper, Incognito was a journey through the underworld, showing off a side of superhero comics rarely seen in mainstream comics.
Consisting of the first six-issue miniseries and the five-issue follow-up sequel Bad Intentions, the entire saga was eventually collected in the over-sized hardcover Incognito: The Classified Edition in 2012.

The NCIS franchise returns with NCIS season 22 and the debut of NCIS: Origins in the fall of 2024, but the two shows' release schedules change slightly following their premieres. As its title suggests, NCIS: Origins serves as a prequel to the original military police procedural series, taking place in 1991, a little over a decade before the events of NCIS season 1. NCIS: Origins is the sixth installment and fifth official spinoff in the NCIS franchise, following in the footsteps of NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawai'i, and NCIS: Sydney. However, it's the first prequel.
While NCIS season 22's story revolves around the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in the present day, NCIS: Origins' plot follows Leroy Jethro Gibbs at the start of his career at the Naval Investigative Service (the precursor to NCIS). The two TV shows are quite different, but they both have qualities that should...

After returning this past January with the announcement of their first new album in eight years, Justice are back again with a new single, “Incognito.”
The latest preview of the band’s upcoming fourth studio album, Hyperdrama, “Incognito” is a dancey, inventive track, primarily featuring grooving instrumentals colored by glistening synths and tight beats. Spanning four minutes, the track demonstrates the French duo’s new approach to their signature sound.
“Like many songs on this record, it switches from all electronic to all human music abruptly, multiple times within its four minute run,” the duo said in a statement. “The structure is dictated by what feels good at the moment it happens, without necessarily following any other rule. We had to unlearn everything we thought we knew about song structures, and music in general, when we started working on Hyperdrama, which was very refreshing.”

Indian filmmaker Ravi Muppa will adapt his Oscar-qualifying short “Incognito” into a feature-length film.
The executive producers of the short, Indian auteur Anurag Kashyap (“Kennedy”) and Ranjan Singh (“Udta Punjab”) under the Flip Films banner and Nicholas Weinstock and Divya D’Souza of Invention Studios, are reuniting to produce the feature.
In “Incognito,” a lonely motel receptionist makes an extra buck by selling the hidden-cam videos of his unsuspecting guests on the internet. But when one such guest turns out to be a young girl at risk of being trafficked, he faces a crisis of conscience and a mission.
“Incognito” has been selected at more than 20 international film festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying Palm Springs Shortfest, Tirana and LA Shorts, and is a 2024 Oscar contender in the live action short film category, where candidates from India include “Nocturnal Burger” and “The Broken Table.”

Five Nights At Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon thanks fans for supporting the new movie and shares his experiences of going incognito to watch multiple screenings. Despite mixed critic reviews, the movie had a successful opening weekend, becoming Blumhouse's biggest opening weekend and the biggest opening weekend for a horror movie directed by a woman. The financial success of the film and signed deals with the star and director suggest that a sequel to Five Nights At Freddy's is likely in the future.
Five Nights At Freddy's video game creator Scott Cawthon has released a lengthy statement to thank everyone for supporting the new movie. Cawthon started the franchise in 2021 with a small horror survival game that shares the same name as the movie. Exclusive: Amazon Studios is finalizing deals for Criminal, a TV adaptation of Ed Brubaker and artist Sean Phillips’ bestselling crime comic book series, sources tell Deadline.
Details are scarce but the project, written by Brubaker, who serves as executive producer and showrunner, is described as an interlocking universe of crime stories based on his award-winning comic book series. I hear a writers room for the potential series is up and running. A rep for Amazon Studios declined comment.
Nick Pepper, Amazon Studios’ Head of US SVOD TV Development and Series – Wholly Owned, and his lieutenant Matt King, Head of Tentpole, Genre and Universe Development of wholly owned content, are believed to have championed bringing in Criminal for development. As President of Legendary Television, Pepper signed Brubaker into a development deal there in 2019 and, along with EVP Development King, put Criminal in development at the indie studio, which is expected to...

Google Chrome offers a Lock Incognito Tabs feature that lets users password-protect their private browser tabs. The feature was rolled out to iOS users back in 2021, and has now been made available for Android. It was previously released as an experimental feature for Android, but users needed to enable Chrome Flags to use it. Now that the Lock Incognito Tabs feature is officially available for Android devices, it's easy to enable on both smartphones and tablets.
Incognito tabs on Google Chrome hide a person's browsing history, and users might hesitate to lend their device to someone else if they have these tabs open. The Lock Incognito Tabs feature aims to solve this problem. As the name suggests, the feature locks users' Incognito tabs when they exit the Chrome app or switch to another app on their Android or iOS device. A lonely motel receptionist, Gulab (Vikram Singh), makes an extra buck by selling the hidden-cam videos of his unsuspecting guests on the internet. But when one such guest turns out to be a young girl named Saloni (Ayushi Nema) who is being trafficked by Bhupesh (Dev Chauhan), he faces a crisis of conscience.
Overall, there’s quite a lot to like with “Incognito.” The central setup employed here, with the sleazy motel owner who secretly records the goings-on in the rooms of the facility and uploads the content online, is a rather cliche one. However, that allows for an effective quick-shot character-build that gets the point of who he is across easily and moves this along. That also allows for an enjoyable unraveling of the trafficking storyline to get drawn out with the discovery of the operation taking place. As the videos slowly begin to point him toward the...

Pan Nalin’s “The Last Film Show,” (aka “Chhello Show”) which opens Tribeca’s Spotlight section on June 10, has attracted buyers around the world, ahead of its world premiere.
Neue Visionen has acquired the film for Germany, Karma Films for Spain, Shochiku for Japan, Red Cape and Nachson for Israel and Nos Lusomundo for Portugal.
Nalin is known for his eclectic, and visually striking, body of work including “Samsara,” “Valley of Flowers” and “Angry Indian Goddesses.”
The partly autobiographical drama takes Nalin back to his roots in Saurashtra, Gujarat, western India, where “The Last Film Show” was filmed. Nearly 30 years ago, Daughters of the Dust ruptured the fixed line of film history. It was the first film directed by a Black woman to see theatrical distribution in the United States. It fit neither the Black history Hollywood co-opted, nor the modern Black story they allowed (urban peril). Daughters of the Dust portrayed a day in the life of the Gullah-Geechee community off the coast of South Carolina through their circular perception of time, a past, present and future that runs concurrently. Nana Peazant, the old matriarch, urges her successors to cling to their roots, to hang on to her, as each body holds both “the last of the old and the first of the new.” The younger generations plan to run up the river north, leaving behind Ibo Landing, home to centuries of their ancestors. An unborn child narrates from the future and dawdles through the present day,...

In an effort to raise public awareness of the 1999 premature birth of her son, Jazz, and the support she received from March Of Dimes, Grammy-nominated recording artist Maysa is releasing a powerfully honest and intimate single, You Are Not Alone, in conjunction with Prematurity Awareness Month (November).
Maysa's song — and Prematurity Awareness Month — serve as a rally cry and tribute to the 15 million babies worldwide who are born prematurely each year and the people who care for them. Premature birth and its complications are the largest contributor to infant death in the U.S. and around the globe. Babies who survive early birth often face serious and lifelong health problems.

The Walt Disney Company has acquired, through their upcoming deal with Fox, the film rights to "Incognito" (2008) , a six-issue Icon Comics graphic novel series written by Ed Brubaker and illustrated by Sean Phillips:
"...What if you were an ex-super-villain hiding out in 'Witness Protection', but all you could think about were the days when the 'firewalls' were in place, and the rules didn't apply to you? Could you stand the toil of an average life after years of leaving destruction in your wake? And what if you couldn't stand it? What would you do then?..."
"'Incognito' is the story of a bad guy forced to be good," said Brubaker," and what happens when he starts to go stir-crazy from the monotony of normal life. It's a dark look at good and evil and pulp and noir all in one hard-hitting package."
"Set in a world where pulp...
