The Winners of the Creative Arts Emmys Are Here
So the big Emmys don't air until next Sunday night and at Moviefone we will have, of course, full coverage. But last night the Creative Arts Emmys were handed out, for the people that are largely responsible for making these shows that you absolutely love -- you know, the behind-the-scenes talent tasked with conceptualizing and realizing your favorite programs. Oh -- and some guest actor and actresses awards were handed out, so there's that too!

In the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category Uzo Aduba took home the prize for "Orange is the New Black." Since we are, very shamefully, one of a handful of Americans who hasn't seen a single second of "Orange in the New Black," this doesn't mean a whole lot to us, but we are very happy for her! (We promise, we'll watch soon.) For the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, the...

Game of Thrones (2011)
2014 Creative Arts Emmy Winners include 'Sex,' 'Scandal' co-stars
Game of Thrones (2011)
The first round of 2014 Emmy Awards were handed out at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony on Saturday (August 16) night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony, which precedes the Monday, August 25 Primetime Emmy Awards telecast, offered signs of hope for a number of drama and comedy hopefuls. Netflix's "Orange Is The New Black," for example, won Emmys for editing, series casting and for Uzo Aduba, who is considered a guest actress for the purposes of these awards. No other comedy series was able to build any other momentum going into next week's show, with "The Big Bang Bang Theory," "Nurse Jackie," "How I Met Your Mother" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" grabbing isolated tech prizes and Jimmy Fallon winning the Guest Actor in a Comedy Series award for the second time in three years for his "Saturday Night Live" hosting duties. The two guest acting awards on the drama side...

O.J. Simpson in Y a-t-il un flic pour sauver la reine ? (1988)
Since its launch in October 2009, Espn's groundbreaking series 30 for 30 has become renowned for tackling controversial topics and recounting sports history from unique perspectives. Tuesday marks the 20th anniversary of O.J. Simpson's infamous white Ford Bronco chase across Los Angeles, and the confluence of that day's breaking news and unrelated high-profile sporting events was the topic of a film from the first series of 30 for 30 titled June 17, 1994.  The original concept of chronicling 30 stories from the "Espn era" of the past 30 years has since expanded to over 75 films, including the latest collection, Soccer Stories (which aired during the run-

Your Guide to Everything Latino at Tribeca Film Festival: Movies, Talks & Virtual Reality
If you are like me (and every other Latino) you are sick of seeing movies where the people that look like us are only maids, janitors, undocumented immigrants or drug dealers. The Latino experience is so much more complex; it spans continents, languages, and cultures. This year’s Tribeca Film Festival, running April 16 – 27, is filled with films that offer diverse portraits of Latinos (including a few requisite drug traffickers).

There are stories about New Yorkers searching for love, a black-and-white ode to slackers set during a Mexico City student strike, a divorced Miami chef who buys a food truck (his ex-wife is played by Sofia Vergara), a Venezuelan kid who’s obsessed with having straight hair, a naive Afro-Colombian teen who gets caught up in drug smuggling (produced by Spike Lee), plus documentaries on transgender youth in Puerto Rico, Diego Maradona, soccer during the Chilean dictatorship, and the Argentinian pretty-boy boxer Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez.

Amidst the screenings are celebrities, red carpets, film talks, and immersive transmedia experiences complete with virtual reality goggles. Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, John Leguizamo, and lots of the directors are scheduled to appear.

Ticket prices aren’t cheap. (Do they have a minority scholarship?) But this year, thanks to a corporate sponsor that shall go unnamed all screenings on Friday, April 25 are Free! To help you plan your movie marathon staycation here’s a list of all the Latino movies and events at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
