Baywatch is remembered as one of the most iconic and widely watched television series of all time. During its 11-season run from 1989 to 2001, the show became a global sensation, drawing billions of viewers each season. The show not only made waves with its stunning California’s lifeguards running in slow-motion but it also gifted us many celebrities who became a household name.

However, as time passed, several beloved stars of Baywatch have sadly passed away. Pamela Bach, who was a prominent figure in the series, passed away on Wednesday. Here’s a look back at 10 Baywatch stars who are no longer with us, including Bach.

1. Pamela Bach

Pamela Bach, known for her various roles on Baywatch, and her marriage to the show’s lead, David Hasselhoff, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. TMZ reported that the star died by suicide at her residence in Los Angeles, California.

With the upcoming Terminator 2 3D re-release hitting theaters next weekend, Robert Patrick has been making the press rounds, where he dropped quite the bombshell. The actor, who essentially launched his career by playing the nefarious T-1000 robot in T2, revealed that rock star Billy Idol was cast in the role before him, but was forced to drop out, leading the way for his breakthrough role. Here's what Robert Patrick had to say about Billy Idol's casting.

"Billy Idol was set to do the role of the T-1000, as I understand. I can tell you that I saw Billy's image when I went to Stan Winston after I got the role. Unfortunately, he got into a motorcycle accident and busted up his leg, so he wasn't able to physically do what the role demanded."

What's the fascination with the triple boobage? I just don't understand it. Okay, for the sake of the Total Recall reboot you want to carry on the tradition as there was one in the first...but why was it there in the first place? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman has moved his entire studio into Meltdown Comics… and he’s gonna auction the entire thing off in one giant lot to benefit the Hero Initiative.

The Kevin Eastman Art Studio auction will run for 10 days beginning Dec. 25th, Christmas Day, at 9:00 Pm (Pst). It will wrap the evening of January 4th at 9:00 Pm, which will be the final night of the 35 Days Of Kevin Eastman event at Meltdown Comics in Hollywood. Carl Macek was a pioneer in the field of anime, serving as producer and story editor for the popular Robotech series from the mid-1980s.

Macek was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 21, 1951. He worked at California State University Fullerton as a librarian of popular culture, and co-editor of 1979’s McGill’s Survey of the Cinema and Film Noir-An Encyclopedic Reference to the American Style (1979). He also wrote the book The Art of Heavy Metal: Animation for the Eighties. He became involved with anime in 1985 when he revised and edited three separate Japanese anime series, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, The Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada, into a three-generation Robotech Wars storyline. The popular series was produced in 1985 by Harmony Gold in association with Tatsunoko Prod. Co., Ltd. According to Deadline, director David Fincher (Fight Club) is once again shopping around a new animated feature inspired by the 1981 movie Heavy Metal, now in 3-D. Like the original, Fincher's adult-oriented movie will include a collection of science fiction and fantasy shorts by different directors, accompanied by a rock and roll-themed score.

Fincher has been working on putting together a new Heavy Metal for at least two years now, initially setting up the project at Paramount. However, because of Fincher's insistence on the movie being R-rated, Paramount dropped the project in July 2008.

The movie seemed to be back on track in April 2009 when it was announced that Gore Verbinski and Zack Snyder were attached to direct segments of the anthology. The project got a further boost in August with the addition of director James Cameron. However, there was nothing more heard about Fincher's Heavy Metal after that August announcement,...

In March last year, it was announced that Paramount Pictures was to make a new animated film based on the 70s sci-fi fantasy magazine Heavy Metal.

Director David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) signed on to spearhead the project, which would consist of eight or nine separate segments, each based on one of the magazine's serials.

Fincher would direct one of the segments and Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would direct another. It's worth adding that Eastman is also the owner and publisher of the American magazine. He bought the title in 1991.

Tim Miller, whose Blur Studios would handle the animation, was also to direct a segment of the R-rated, adult-themed feature.

After that, all went quiet, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that Paramount bosses had become jittery about the idea and felt it was "too risqué".

Film School Rejects is reporting that Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, has spilled some major beans on the remake of Heavy Metal, the totally over-the-top 1981 sci-fi flick full of boobies, violence, and, some might say, awesomeness.

Eastman wrote Heavy Metal 2000, which stars former Penthouse Pet Julie Strain, who is also, incidentally, Eastman's ex-wife. She also voiced Heavy Metal 2000 and starred in the Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.2 video game. Eastman told Fsr,

"I've got breaking news that Fincher and James Cameron are going to be co-executive Producers on the film. Fincher will direct one. Cameron will direct one. Zack Snyder is going to direct one and Gore Verbinski is going to. Mark Osborne and Jack Black from Tenacious D are going to do a comedy segment for the film. Three other directors have agreed but we haven't signed them, but they're equally as jaw-dropping.

If you want to know how awesome Heavy Metal's cult following is, look no further than the big name directors who are jumping to work on the new film. Current Heavy Metal mag owner and publisher Kevin Eastman (who is also the co-creator of the Ninja Turtles, Fyi) is producing the third movie. The idea is, unlike the sequel Heavy Metal 2000, this one will be another anthology film like the original 1981 movie. The real draw is in getting top directors to direct each animated segment.
