It’s something of an understatement to say that the work of poet and short story writer Edgar Allan Poe has had a lasting effect on the horror genre. Especially when it comes to horror cinema in particular. One horror flick that has me curious is Gary Jones' Bunyan, a reimagining of the tall tale of titanic lumberjack Paul Bunyan that brings his legend to bloody life as a 15-foot giant maniac with a very large ax. Producer Jeff Miller was kind enough to send over some news stills from the movie and word of a new cast member who's no stranger to forests.
Dan Haggerty, best known as TV's "Grizzly Adams" but forever in the heart of schlock movie fans like myself for his portrayal of a chain-smoking department store Santa battling an evil Nazi elf in the bad movie classic Elves, has joined the cast of Bunyan.
