Originally titled Jack and Jill and Jill, but producers later changed it to Different Strokes to cash in on Dana Plato's previous 1978 TV series.
Landon Hall said working with Dana Plato was great. They became good friends while filming, which really helped when they shot the lesbian scene at the end of production. They felt close so it was easier to be nude and have sex. In fact, she said it was a lot of fun.
