I didn't even realize that the show was still on... I remember when it was The game show to watch, when it first came on the air in the late 1990s, with Regis Philbin hosting. The dramatic pauses between questions and answers, the catchphrase, "Is that your final answer?," and more... I remember it all.  I just haven't watched it in probably a decade at least. Writer-producer Matt Williams‘ Wind Dancer Films will develop and produce scripted comedies and drama for Lionsgate as part of the new deal. Williams created and executive produced the TV series Roseanne. He also was a writer on The Cosby Show and went on to co-create spinoff A Different World. He launched Wind Dancer Films in 2008 with partner David McFadzean, company president Dete Meserve and head of production Judd Payne to produce and finance films and create and produce TV. Its TV credits include Home Improvement, Carol & Company with Carol Burnett and Soul Man with Dan Aykroyd, while film credits include last year’s Jack Black-starrer Bernie, As Cool As I Am starring Claire Danes and James Marsden and What Women Want. Williams is repped by Wme.

Monday’s performance finale of The Voice marked the first live show of Season 2 that didn’t feature backstage correspondent Christina Milian yammering about which contestants were trending on Twitter. Unfortunately, that might’ve been because the show’s main social-media heat probably centered around terms like “Xtina’s side cleavage,” “Adam Levine’s t-shirt,” “Xtina texting,” and “99 Problems lyrics.”

Indeed, a tense vibe percolating through the entire two-hour telecast — and Cee Lo’s “No Problems” t-shirt — seemed to suggest that there might’ve been at least some truth to reports of an ugly Xtina-Adam imbroglio earlier in the day.

I mean, watching the trailer for Jack & Jill one might think it was a deleted scene from the film Funny People in which Sandler mocked the kind of ridiculous high concept comedies that he is so often guilty of making. Joe Somebody helmer John Pasquin has closed a deal to direct Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality 2 for Warner Bros. Pictures. Shooting is scheduled to start in the spring in Los Angeles. The project-- a Castle Rock Entertainment presentation in association with Village Roadshow Pictures -- will find Bullock reprising her role as Special Agent Gracie Hart. There is no other talent attached to the project, according to the studio. Bullock will again produce from a script by Marc Lawrence, who also penned the original Donald Petrie-directed film. Released in 2000, the first installment cleared $100 million at the boxoffice from a budget in the $45 million range. Pasquin's deal to direct Bullock likely stems from their previous relationship: Pasquin helmed several episodes of ABC's George Lopez, which is produced by Bullock's production company, Fortis Films. His other credits include Payne, Soul Man, Jungle 2 Jungle, The Santa Clause and Home Improvement.
